Warp to Friends List

Ok, so in Eclipse Renewal, we are thinking about making it so you can warp to online players who are on your friends list. Now, we think this could be a good idea if there is a chkbox on the map properties to allow you to be able to warp to your friend on that map. Now, this is an attempt to make it less over powered but we still want your thoughts of is a good idea or a bad one, and why.

Depnds on what game you want, there's times where it works fine, such as they have it in WoW, since it doesn't straight out break the game, and you can't use it in party instances, also limited to within the Recruit-a-friend system.

Many games that have a set storyline(not open world), can have a lot of problems handling it, a lot of exceptions have to be set into the storyline and tweaks has to be made.

Well this is for an engine where a lot of people will hopefully be using it to make a game.

I think it's a good idea, WoW was mentioned above as having, and Runescape does too. I think it would work out nicely.

It sounds like a good idea but I think it should optional such as having it toggleable in the server options or something like that. It's a real problem for some areas in games that are unlocked through quests, or require a certain level, etc.

Yeah that can be a problem, Runescape has it so you teleport to their nearest lodestone, so to unlock the lodestone you have to have the quest completed.

Don't worry, we are going to make it toggled on the server and have a map property needed to warp there.

Bad idea if the warping is free.. Must have a Time Interval or a Price

We will most likely have a cool down for this, maybe an EXP cost? Don't know yet, we can always change it later. :)
