WD RPG WD
Im trying to increase my MAX_ITEMS to 500\. I changed the server and the client to 500 and I'm getting an overflow message when I load the server. I'm new to this and I'm sure its a simple fix. Thanks. PD
Well all the "MAX" are have the byte type and you can only have a max of 255 for a byte. To go beyond this point just change byte to long.

Conscientia
Instead of changing a byte (0-255) to a long (-2.14 bil - +2.14 bil) you can just make it an integer (-32767 - +32767) which will save 2 bytes of memory for each constant.A long is 4 bytes and an integer is 2 bytes. Robin
Long is 32bit, Integer is 16bit.Technically speaking, the language should process long values faster. The bottleneck in any of the Mirage off-shoots isn't the memory consumption (Apart from EE and it's off-shoots which use that God awful socket type) but the processing power. You really don't need to care about 10 bytes of memory being saved.
