Long is 32bit, Integer is 16bit.

Technically speaking, the language should process long values faster.

The bottleneck in any of the Mirage off-shoots isn't the memory consumption (Apart from EE and it's off-shoots which use that God awful socket type) but the processing power.

You really don't need to care about 10 bytes of memory being saved.
