Tried to fix my sprite to match Seraph's tiles. >_> Its hard so I'm still making edits. Started on an enemy(?)/pet(?) Also started basic walk animations which will be up later. Someone told me my sprite looks like banjo kazzoy or whatever that is xD I dunno.

This is the actual sprite base (Male)

I'm not sure if Azy wants walking similar like so:

Or to the side. Yet so…I have to wait for direction.

And Seraph emailed me some sandstone tiles for a desert place:

I think he's working on regular sand paths to match it now. Then when Azy lays out the level, he'll probably work on the backdrop to the desert places.

And I started working on a character concept of the character I fangirl from the game, while waiting for animation and pet/enemy approval and direction:

@Snowstorm:

> i think that the face looks a little flat, like it has been hit by a shovel xDDD
> i think that you need to define the nose and mouth a bit more, and also try and get shading on the face, because it looks like one tone to me.

There is no nose on it. But I do agree that his face is a little bit flat. Try and add some depth to it.

Alright~ Thank you. Also, theres no nose…. Um. I was originally wanting to go with cel-type shading for the face, not pixelly. Which is probably why it looks "flat". Its just got anime-shading and not typical sprite style shading. xD And I think some of the shading comes with the hair, which is why it didn't look as flat on the non-base. The hair pieces and eyes make a difference! You also never see a naked base with nothing on it in-game. Its just there so I can use it to put hairs and eyes on :P

I could, but I think that would look weird, myself. O_o

I like the chibi-flatfaced-no-nose type of look. Then again, I'm more into anime, and I know alot of people here aren't so much. And the artwork in general will be anime no-nosed flat face people, so that might throw it up a bit, too. I can't draw cartoony or realistic. ^^;

But I'll try to change it up maybe. And make a nose. Though yeah, I won't like it so much anymore. xD But I s'pose I can save my favourite styles for my own game coming after this.

Um…I don't think realistic is what I'm shooting for in a 2D sidescroller. >_> But like I said, I can try. But typically I don't like sprites like that myself, for a chibi-anime based game (unless I change the look of the game as a whole -- That is up to Azyru).

Yes, I DREW it quickly, as an example for Azyru to look at to determine if it is to walk isometrically or to the side....because if I'd just explain it, well I'm terrible at explaining what i mean, so sketching a cruddy example is better to get my point across.
