Extra inventory slot system.

Okay, so Jacob and I are trying to figure out a reasonable way to pick between two extra inventory slot systems. I want one type and he wants another. Our solution is to allow the users to pick which one they like best.

Jacob's Idea:

You have your main inventory and then you have a bag bar that you can add bags to to give you more inventory space of varying sizes.

You have your main inventory and then you have a slot to equip a bag which is pretty much just a second main inventory.

Now then, whose idea do you most like?

I think the extra equippable item inventory is a little more balanced as you can have more controls and limitations on the inventory expansion; with bags you can get things that become infinitely nested. For that sort of system you need to add a weight and maximum carrying capacity system (which is ironically also in RO despite it also having limited number of slots). For an Eclipse game, I think manipulating the amount of slots and what items are stackable, is a simpler and more intuitive method than creating a weight tracking system.

depends on what your going for.  If your going for a massive game with lots of grinding and level upping, I'd go with the first ides.  If your going for a small(in terms of max level&total content) game I'd say just have the inventories not change size at all.
