frankpetrov
I'm sure it is possible, but I do not know exactly. This question is directed more to Robin or anyone who has compiled the game a lot.Is it possible to change everything from using DirectDraw 7 to Direct2D? Robin
Why? Using GDI is just going back to the late '90s. xD
frankpetrov
I ask because of the fact that Eclipse origins is coded using DirectDraw7\. this limits the graphics only to .bmp files. by recoding or whatever needs done to make it Direct2D, it will allow the use of better images such as .png and allow better visual quality

Rob Janes
I'm just as confused as you Robin (aka Rainbow Dash)In no way, shape or form is the 'QUALITY' of a PNG 'better' than a .BMP, it uses lossless compression method to save the image without 'reducing' it's quality in a smaller file, but it doesn't beat a 'Bitmap.' whose name sort of explains itself…The only advantage to using PNGs would be to have a smaller graphic folder and a smaller download for the client.
