Some Retro-ish Tiles.

Making tiles for Dark Bushido, which I am redoing for the millionth time.  :huh: I have wanted to try this style for a while now. The tiles are inspired by a game called "30 seond hero." I attempted to keep the retro feel, but brought them up a level.

I know this is looked down upon, but the game will basically follow the theme of 30SH and will be overworld accessable only. I plan on making a BUNCH of different islands with different terrain to make up for not having enormous towns and areas to explore.

Here is a screenie from 30 second hero.

@7:

That's cuz I used a rock from the D/P tiles as a template because they were mountain shaped :P Thanks tho!

EDIT:

Throwin in a pic of the male sprites I will be using. Samurai game calls for long-ass hair XD

@Kinjiru:

> Nice looking tiles, there the same sort of style, but they don't look 8-bit.
> BTW I sent you a PM a little while ago, not sure if you got it.

I really only want to give the ground tiles a classic feel. The trees, buildings, and mountain tiles are going to be a tad different so they pop.

I have been meaning to talk to you about that actually. PM me with the specifics.

EDIT:
Trees. Updated main.

Those tree's and rocks are really good, AmSamurai. It's small, yet so detailed. The colors are visually vibrant and very appealing. I could look at this all day long without blinking.

I'd love to see some more pixel art of yours, especially in this style!

Well thank you! Haha. I am currently trying to develop a whole tileset for my game with this style of GFX, so there will be plenty to come!

@Fuu:

> Samurai, you beast. You've just solved every problem I've ever had. Loool. I now see how to make my trees. Not copying yours, but with the same style as those.

Glad I could help. Haha. Although I admire your work way more than mine. Lol

It's great, but i'd suggest making the trees a tad bigger.  Don't get me wrong, the trees look great, but if you look in games like pokemon or the RMVX tilesets even you'll notice that the trees brush up quite close to each other, to make the forest feel a bit denser.  Of course, They look fine now, too.  Perhaps a mixture of both would be profitable.
