Ruins of Hell
@Frostyy:> I've looked at the FAQ, and to my knowledge my sound card is working fine. Is there a way to check if it's working?Turn your speakers on and try playing a sound. Could be a problem with drivers if it still doesn't work. Athagekin
Did you update your sound card drivers when you got the computer? It might be because of a bug or two from using an outdated driver.

Anonymious
@Frostyy:> I see no warning signs when I look in the Device manager under the 'sound, video, and game controllers' tab. Then the problem is not with your sound card/drivers…Try run it from VB6 (if you alreaddy installed it), and post the highmarked line, that would help a lot.Else try regsvr32 C:\Windows\system32\dx7vb.dll in cmd...I know you installed the runtime files, but try it ones again: http://www.robin.freemmorpgmaker.com/eo_runtimes.zipEDIT: download the runtime files from the link above and install them.Because it happens ones to me that I installed old runtime files. Jeff
So, aaron told me to restart my computer. I did and it now works. I feel dumb, but I also think that it should be noted in the FAQ that restarting your computer may help.
