Hacking via Ip address.

So most people suggest on here to " go to Ip chicken and use that ip to let your friends join your game." One of my friends said " Hey man, using that IP address is not safe . People can use that IP address to hack your computer. You should switch to a DNS forwarder."

I told him my game is only being shared with a small amount of friends. Then he said  "Oh then it should be fine."

So I started wondering. What could the wrong person do with that IP address?
Should I switch it up to a DNS forwarded?

There is exploits out there that people can use to hack into open ports of your computer. I'd use something like NO-IP.
