Because after 5 hours you would never recommend it to anyone, especially on single-player.It's the most boring game of the year. After you finish the first zone, there's absolutely nothing new to do, while the resort is a pretty awesome map, the city is just generic and the jungle is horrid and absolutely unnecessary location.It has a horrible plot if you're bold enough to call it a plot, it's made entirely of fetch and escort quests.Looking at it from a time perspective, as I beaten that game (or more likely beaten myself to beat it) some time ago, it's a bad production. Not worth time and certainly not worth money.Left 4 Dead is millions times more fun if you're looking for a zombie apocalypse game… even played on single player with bots. Robin Posted December 3, 2011 Share Posted December 3, 2011 We all thought Dead Island was awesome for the first couple of hours. Then we realised the entire game was just MMO style quests. Kusy and I spent months playing L4D2 to death with our fellow Eclipse members.It really is just a bad game. We were counting down the released date for months. Sickey Posted December 7, 2011 Share Posted December 7, 2011 Personally I love Dead Island, yes the quests are lame, but Im addicted to "Upgrading" in every single game I play, so me and 2 friends is just running around killing and owning zombies. Getting shit and upgrading weapons and modify them lol. And the new expansion "Bloodbath Arena" I find it great fun, definetaly adds some extra hours of gameplay. As soon as you realise the ENTIRE GAME is just collection quests it turns to absolute shit.If you play more than the first 5 hours and you're still enjoying it then you're the kind of person who enjoys grinding quests on WoW. But I mean, I just love leveling, unlocking abilities (Im an Ability whore).But I mean L4D2 is pretty linear the thing that makes it so good is the multiplayer, same with Dead Island, espically in the new DLC it reminds me of L4D2, that gamemode when you survive endless waves of zombies (can't remember the name). And I've never played WoW and will never play it. I've tried many MMORPGs, I hate grinding. I want some real quests or something nice to play with my buddies.
