Recoil
Looking through the threads it says you edit the map/X/Y in the classes.ini on the server for regular [EO]. These options are not there in this version. I have checked all the panels and have not found this. Any assistance please?
Ruins of Hell
server\data\classes.ini is where you would edit classes. However, in order to change the starting location, you need Visual Basic 6, you can consult the Official Guides for more information. DJMaxus
Server Side, Just edit these lines in modConstants```' Default starting location [Server Only]Public Const START_MAP As Long = 1Public Const START_X As Long = 30Public Const START_Y As Long = 10```
Recoil
I actually had to go through the tutorial for setting the class starting locations…I am turning those into races and doing something totally different for classes (once I figure it out ;) ) and needed different starting places. But for something more universal, I think it would be better (if all starting places are the same) for them to go somewhere externally, maybe in the server options.ini so it can be changed easier. Just an opinion though.
Recoil
I didn't want to start a whole new thread just for this, but why do the client fonts look like they aren't displaying properly? It seems there are additional "dots" at the end of each character. Even the carriage is obscure, while waiting it looks like this: ( | : ) …no parenthesis, and the dots are at the top and bottom, like it is picking up something else maybe? emblem
No clue what you're talking about to be honest, post a screenshot?:PAlso it probably would have been better to make a new thread.
Recoil
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/205/59603766.jpg/The text looks garbled, and it is like this through the whole UI when there is text on the screen.
emblem
Woah that's weird. Looks like the font data was tampered with or something..Doesn't happen to me.[![](http://puu.sh/blib)](http://puu.sh/blib)
Recoil
I opened the zip file that I have for CS:DE and from a fresh copy f the source, I have the same issue. I have no idea what this might be then since there are no changes to the zip files :/
emblem
Only guess would be that you have some custom settings that messes with the way textures are aligned on shapes drawn using DirectX.short version: graphic driver settings maybe? Recoil
Well, I went back and looked at the EO version. I have no issues there, and it is using DX7. I believe the rendering issue in CS:DE has something to do with DX8 and my chipset. Since it doesn't seem that anyone else has run into this issue, making any changes might be a bad idea on my part…or making 2 clients, but that is an additional hassle.I wasn't sure if there happened to be an easy fix to this, or a solution that I was unable to locate in the searches. I will just keep looking through the code though to see if I can modify it.But if anyone else runs into this issue, please post about it.

mrmiguu
@Recoil:> It was an anti-aliasing issue :/I was about to say.I managed to figure this issue out on my own as well. I remember having it as a major annoyance when I was working with DX8\. I turned off my anti-aliasing, and boom!
emblem
Heh. The anti-aliasing is kind of what I meant by a driver specific setting.Figures I couldn't remember what it was called. :PWelp, glad you figured it out.
