I like the shadow, definitely gives it a better feel, the darkening of the bark is also nice to,  as it fits. Nice color's, I like it.

Thanks. I'm made an alternate shadow in case the tree is against the a wall of some type, so that the shadow stretches a little. Doesn't look like it's just been slapped on, then.

I dislike the stump, however the rest looks pretty good. I think you need to somehow make the bottom parts of the stump slightly more prominent, as rate now it seems to be blending in with the grass. However it is a fine looking tree none the less.

Concerning shadows: Ignore it. We're going to use Dynamic Lighting instead. <3

Looks awesome, but somehow, the leaves' color doesn't fits at all with the grass' color. Like, it's a little too bright.

The grass itself is designed to be darker than normal - as are all ground tiles - as a Protip to draw player's attention to everything else - obstacles, items, NPCs and the character itself.
