Netherboss123 Posted July 20, 2015 Author Share Posted July 20, 2015 hi. i am new to eclipse but when i try to launch either client.exe or server.exe, it says "Runtime Error 339\. component 'mswinsck.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." GalacticGlum Posted July 20, 2015 Share Posted July 20, 2015 It seems like you haven't registered mswinsck.ocxFollow these steps!Step 1\. Place your client folder on the desktop.Step 2\. Open an elevated command prompt (run command prompt as an administrator).Step 3\. Type "cd C:\Users\\Desktop\client".Step 4\. Type "regsvr32 mswinsck.ocx".And you're done! It should work now. Growlith1223 Posted August 1, 2015 Share Posted August 1, 2015 your issue most likely revolves around dll versioning, open the .vbp file in notepad, you'll see 3 lines at the very top that will have the dependencies, find mswinsock, next, you'll see 2.1.0, change it to 2.0.0 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
