You are correct about one thing, I did not bother to read the original topic. First of all, the most likely cause of the problem stated in the original post is either a bad version of vb6 or the fact that you are compiling in a VM. Oh, and

AFAIK there is no lighting, or at least real lighting, because Eclipse uses DX7, not DX8\. DX7 doesn't support lighting, but DX8 does.

I think you learn a lot more than getting help and doing it yourself than someone just giving you the whole code. In a lot of cases, yes, that is true. In some cases it is just easier to give someone, at the very least, the base code for what they need to do.
