Hey guys, I am trying to install VB6 on windows 7 32bit and it allways stops at "Setup is searching for installed components…" I ran it in several modes, winxp s1 sp 2 sp3 vista 2000 ... Checked "ru nas admin" and allways start the installation with : Rightclick->Run as Administrator And no matter what I try it stops at "Setup is searching for installed components..." I'd be thankfull for any usefull comments. //EDIT: I am installing vb6 Enterprise ...

Well, I'm not a coding pro but SCRIPTING is kindergarten … It's okay not having the ability with this engine to script. If you want to add a feature or something else, just open the source.

If you look through the Bug And Runtime Errors board you'll see there's 3 or so topics saying "[EO] Paperdoll bug" Well , i was quite ironic. Since I don't have vb6 atm and I have issues installing it I will post this as a bug RIGHT HERE! Yeah you see it right…I am not searching for a place to post, I am posting it here because my problem is the most important one and has to be solved as soon as possible. So Robin drop your RL and solve my problem because I can't make my awesome game with never seen before features and a huge player based allways evolving world. It's propably the biggest bug in EO ..we can't live with this bug and there is need of a pro programmer to solve it. **Bug:** Weapon layer is below armor layer.

Hey Robin. Missed me? (: (I guess ..not really. :P) I came back to have a look at Origins and it went out quite good. Still needs some optimization but everything runs fluid and what you have built in works fine. Finally a vb6 engine wich is worth using for a game. I guess some interesting projects are beeing planed. (As we know 99% won't ever get to a open beta, but still i wish everyone the best of luck with this engine!) You also inspired me with Origins to give the whole game design a last chance. (BTW where to post bugs ?)

Some you might know that I am playing Liveaction RPG So this is my outfit so far. I am playing a half Wolf Half human fury thing. A friend will make me an expencive but awesome wolf head.

Resident Evil started with the games then comics and THEN the movies. And the movies don't even show the real story. So much is different. It's just that UBRELLA is in it, the charactes got the same names and there are zombies. dot. ^^

**FIRST OF ALL:** Here i am showing you how to create a Mutant Monster. This does NOT mean that this tutorial can't be used only for mutant monsters. You can follow it step by step and still create something cute or an animal etc. Difficulty: 3/5 –----------- ------------- ------------- ------------- ------------- ------------- **1]** Start with the lineart, just use a black outline for that. Since we are making a Mutant Monster you should start with a human-like lineart and then transform it to your likings. The lineart is what noone can help you with since it's YOUR imagination and YOUR skills to draw it. So practise a lot.  **2]** Now you have to choose a darker color of the main color you want to use for your monster and draw the inner lines with it. In this piece it's the face and the muscles.  **3** Step three is simple. Just fill everything with its main colors. Try to choose colors wich are easy for the human eye. Nothing too bright and shiny and not too dark to seperate from the other colors.  **4** We still need some shading to complete the monster. First of all draw a line with your shading color on the inner side of the outlines. Here I have chosen the lightsource to come from the upper right corner. This means that the parts of the monster wich are on the most left bottom side have to be a little bit darker then the rest of the colors. This applies to all body parts. The knees got a highlighted color. In This step you also can add details to the monster. I have added the scar with the stitches on the monsters face and edited the mouth a little bit.  **5** So all in all your pixel art mutant is done but to make it even better you cann change the shading to dithered shading. Pay attention on dithering. It's not easy. original:  x2 

**FIRST OF ALL:** This tutorial is not limited to any size. You also can create Axes and other weapons with metallic parts. Difficulty: 1/5 –----------- ------------- ------------- ------------- ------------- ------------- **1]** As always we start with the outlines. And again noone can help you with these since it's your imaginationand your skills to draw. But you can get some nice ideas from http://www.google.com for swords outlines. Use a black outline first.  **2]** Seperate the blade, handle etc and simply fill the simgle parts with their colors. Use a bright grey for the blade since it's usually made of metal.  **3]** Let's improve the outlines now. Choose the main color of your blade and make it darker. Use this color as outline for the blade. Do the same for everything else. With this improvement of the outlines the whole art looks more clean and real.  **4]** Fill your blade with a color that's a little bit darker then your main color but leave the inner outlines bright. This way the blade looks sharper on the dges.  **5]** The last step is adding some shine to the blade and shadows on the other parts. Shine is added with the bright grey. It should be brighter than the "sharp edges" and has to be added on the blade in lines. Two pixels to the right and one pixel up untill the blade is filled with the shine. As always my lightsource comes form the upper right corner. Make everything that's at the left bottom a little bit darker. Every part got it#s seperated shading but with the same lightsource.  original:
