  1. I like it =D. Should have added some bunnies, though =(.
  2. Lol. It is entirely scripted, so it can be applied to ANY version of eclipse later than 2.7, and might work in even earlier versions too (Depending on how far back it goes) =3.
  3. Hi everyone! I would just like to show off my new universal achievement system that I will be releasing to the public soon =D. I did not post this under Kitten or Squiddle Online's boards because it is not game-specific (Although it will be in Squiddle Online =D). _NOTE: I will be releasing this to the public at some point with a few more additions and bug-scans :)._ First off, this is the Achievement Log: ![](http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/4622/achievementsystem1.png) Confused? Don't be! It's actually simple, yet diverse. At the top it lists what page of the Achievement Log you are on. Directly below it says "Easy". This is the overall difficulty of the certain page. To the left of that displays how many achievements you have achieved on that Page. To the right it displays how many Achievement Points (Or in this case, Squiddle Points) you have earned. You gain Achievement Points by completing achievements! Use your imagination with what you do with these; I'm going to make a special shop where you can buy items only with Achievement Points. Now we see the actual achievements themselves. They look a lot like this: ![](http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/9485/noslymehunter.gif) _NOTE: In the first picture, we see "0/50" beside this picture. This simply tells you how far you have gotten in this achievement. In this case, we have killed 0 of the required 50 slymes._ In this image, we see the name of the Achievement, the requirement, a black-and-white portrait of the achievement (Which you can chose to not include, for example, with secret achievements), and a blank small square to the right. This Blank square tells you if you are "Tracking" the achievement or not. What does Tracking the Achievement mean? When you're tracking the achievement, everytime you make new progress in completing it, it will tell you. For example, this achievement says kill 50 slymes. If we are tracking the achievement, everytime we kill a slyme it will tell us "15/50 Slyme Kills", or something among those lines. This is what an achievement you're tracking looks like: ![](http://img44.imageshack.us/img44/6722/noslymehuntertrack.gif) The green filled-in box means that you are tracking it. You can turn tracking on and off by clicking on the achievement's picture when you have not completed it. And, of course, this is what an achievement you have earned looks like: ![](http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/9076/slymehunter.gif) Pretty neat, eh? Remember, I am releasing this soon. You will be able to edit it, change it however you like and give me no credit (But it is always nice =3). You can use this engine, to make other things, for example, I used it to make a Quest Log, like this: ![](http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/9001/achievementsystem2.png) Yay ^.^,
  4. Thanks, that works perfectly =3\.
  5. Okay everyone. Now, I recently became friends with packets, but now they're not acting very nicely towards me. I learned how to activated Main.txt subs from the Server by using this line as an example: ``` Public Sub Packet_AchievementsView(ByVal index As Long) MyScript.ExecuteStatement "Scripts\Main.txt", "AchievementLog " & index End Sub ``` That's not the whole code, but that's the line that runs the sub. That works all nice and peachy, but now I have a new case; I need to include arguements (Perimeters, whatever you want to call them). For example, I have a custom sub like this: ``` Sub Achievements(Index, PageNumber) ``` And to call it, I would normally use this kind of code: ``` Call Achievements(Index, 1) ``` But now, using the VB Source code I mentioned above, how do I call the 1 as well as the index? Is it something like this? ``` Public Sub Packet_AchievementsView(ByVal index As Long) MyScript.ExecuteStatement "Scripts\Main.txt", "AchievementLog " & index & " 1" End Sub ``` Because that isn't working for me =(. Thanks!
  6. Just put NPC Avoids all around the NPC's position, so that it can't walk anywhere.
  7. Hi everyone! Well, working with some sweet new scripts with Squiddle Online, and while working on a new quest, I thought to myself "How will players know if an NPC has a quest for them or not? So, I thought of this: Changing the colour of the NPC's name. It has been done by a few games, but I can not seem to find how to do it. For example, I could change this NPC: ![](http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/3705/npcnamecolour1.png) -> ![](http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/3705/npcnamecolour1.png) See how Don's name is written in Gold? That means that he has a Quest to offer. Does anyone know how to do this, and if so could you please explain to me? Thank you very much!
  8. I wouldn't really call a PC a "Gaming System", but even so I still pick XXbox 360.
  9. "Fallen Leaves" by "Billy Talent" 253 play count. I know, but it's my favourite song from my favourite band ^.^
  10. Hmm yes monkey but I'm thinking; what if you'r character was a human IN Squiddle World? Originallity would be no different; many new items could be paperdolled, and we could use Project Vertigo's 3.0 pixel based movement, when it comes out.
  11. I used to have an attic sort of thing, but we converted it into a bunch of bedrooms. Can't remember what was up there at the time, but there are a bunch of mysterious locked doors we can't get into 0.0.
  12. I would most likely change the tiles and go Side-Scroller using Project Vertigo. Squiddle Online was actually intended as a sidescroller, but just I couldn't do it before.
  13. Okay, if I do use humans instead as main characters, what do you guys think of this as a sprite base (Besides the lack of hair) : ![](http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/1844/59114293.gif)
  14. Okay, what about if I put the ideas together? What if, your chatacter is human, in the world of Squiddles? It sorta solves all the cons and keeps all the pros =3.
  15. Is ther an option to turn Javascript in the Main on/off? Because I don't really like javascript =/. Or is there going to be a Sadscript to Javascript converter? Because that would work too =3.
  16. Hi everyone. Well, I have been thinkin a lot about the future, and I starting to think about Squiddle Online. Right now, it's on hold for development until SE 1.0 comes out, but I have gotten a few scripts in. So, I have this question: Should Squiddle Online be replaced by something more serious? I fear that I may grow out of Squiddle Online, and I want a project that I can continue on for the rest of my life. For example, replace Squiddle Online with a game involving Humans. This means that the only Squiddles in the game would be as NPC's. So, here's a Pros/Cons list I've come up with: Pros: -Easier to paperdoll a human (I could finally use the leggings/boots equipment slots, and could create better armour) -Targets a much larger player audience (Squiddle Online was for a younger audience, under 16 mainly) -Items can be more creative (It's much easier to add detail and flexibility to a human over a Squiddle) -Things can make more logical sense (Most people always ask "How does a Squiddle hold the sword?") -Can still keep the cheery feeling (With green grass and a blue sky. Doesn't have to be gloomy) Cons: -No more Squiddles, except as NPC's! -Harder to create Sprites (Such as the outline for the human, not the paperdoll!) -Less child friendly -More complex to understand So, should I change the game? If I do, I can give one of you Squiddle Online to take over while I work on the new game, so it's not like it will be lost forever. If you vote, please post here and explain why. This is an important decision to me and I hope to make the right choice. Thanks!
  17. I would try to figure this out myself, but I have no idea where this is even stored in the eclipse.vbp… so here's my question: Is it possible to edit the Mini Health Bar that is constantly displayed over players and enemies? Mr. Miguu did it in Lostica if you haven't seen his latest video; the mini health bars had like wooden borders and everything. It looked really fancy. So, does anyone know where Health Bars are handled in the Eclipse.vbp?
  18. I can't help you with the first question, but the second question is easy. To make a spell, you must first be a high level admin of the game (You're most likely the owner). Now, press "F1" to open up the Admin Command menu, and click on the button "Edit Spells". Click on any slot you want (Recommended Slot #1), and click "Edit". You can make your spell this way. Now, to give your character the spell, you can do it through many ways, but the easiest is to make a spell item. Open up your Admin Panel, and Click "Edit Items". Again, click on any Item Slot, and make that item a "Spell" type. Next, give your character this item, and have him/her use the item. It will give you the spell =3\. (Note: Spells in Eclipse Evolution 2.7 have been recorded to be broken, but you most likely have a newer version of Eclipse). And the search engine on the site is broken, so we use Google. Go to google, and click "Advanced Search". Underneath the "Search under a certain Domain" box, put in "http://www.touchofdeathforums.com", and then search whatever you want =3. Hope this helped! (^Squiddle^).
  19. If you're using Eclipse Stable, you're third error is common. I myself get the same one with my version of Eclipse Stable. Not sure about the first two, though.
  20. I try to put in the first code, but I get errors on every line. I try the second code in the Server, again errors on every line. *Sigh*
  21. Nope, nothing very interesting happens here in Canada. *Sigh*. I think my dad might have it, or it could be his diabetees acting up. I don't really know.
