Lol, character's speed can be increased/decreased with excessive lag, there's been times when I've played games(Commercial/non-commercial), and I've had players come up to me and ask "How do you move faster than me?" I'd explain that it's lag. But, if the player's speed is handled Client-Side or Server-Side, it doesn't matter, because lag can cause a player to move slightly faster or slightly slower than other players.

Post the whole section for the inventory code, and I'll see if I can do it, shouldn't be too hard.
