  1. Yeah, we're definitely going to have spacing between them :P
  2. @Toranos: > I like the layout, but I don't like the background. > The image is nice, which is purely a given, but how it's repeated is a tad weird. The bottom copy breaks any perspective that is created by the top one. > > I would suggest the same color all the way down, but i'm guessing you did it like that to make the footer stand out, so maybe something like: > > >! ![](http://www.ambershire.net/user/toranos/IE9sNreedit.jpg) > > Just a thought. I really love the suggestions, I'll fix it up! I had actually two alternative versions, one with the black all the way to the bottom, and this one.
  3. Are we supposed to find the pattern?
  4. A game design document is not necessarily a large document. It just has to serve it's purposes. The reason why people here think it is a waste of time is because, the projects which are started here are all based off the same engine. Those who have worked with any eclipse or mirage engine would already know the basic mechanics of the game. Game design documents to me also serves a purpose in getting your games overall idea down, like the unique selling points, game overviews, team information, all of this which is normally already done in the game's official topic in the projects board. So in a way, that bit of the GDD is already done whether or not they know it themselves. I personally find using a word document extremely boring, but it's required so far for all my diploma modules. Instead for collaboratives projects, use a SVN, blog, wiki or forum, where it can be easily accessed by all team members an sorted into it's proper categories, like one section for programming and one for art. Documentation is also more important when you plan to make your game big, or sell it to a company. The buyers will need this documentation.
  5. Hop animations don't work in 2 frames. I can see effort in this, keep practicing!
  6. Ah, so this is the game Socuine was showing me awhile ago. Looks good so far, good luck and hope to see good progress soon :)
  7. @Robin: > I'm sure they would be if you did the conversion now. You've improved a lot since the original PV. > > Of course. You know me better than that. They don't call me Robin 'Dynamic' Perris for nothing. ;) They don't call you that for nothing! :D
  8. Robin, did I make that GUI or did you? xD
  9. @Robin: > I'll be changing it once Rory's got some free time to work on some more graphics. He's very busy with school work at the moment because he put it all off to work on the new site. Its true. Sorry about this guys. I'll be back with a much more debate and anger fueling banner soon.
  10. T@Robin: > Because I haven't finished my engine yet. Once I get Origins to the state where I can use it to make my own game without having to screw around in the source code then I'll release one. > > Already got several projects running in the background which will spring forth once I get the engine to the right state. And you can bet they'll have awesome graphics to accompany the awesome engine :)
  11. You could just use img tags and post it :3 like you just did
  12. Its impossible in everyone other version, but not Origins ;D You just need to edit your sprite sheet, no coding needed.
  13. @Proximity: > Shaders can be used in 2D too… Oh god damn me and my fail. Sorry about that. Didn't know what I was saying. Still shaders do refer to real-time rendered effects don't they?
  14. Impressed by the quick change of mindset, nice to see you adapt to the new theme.
  15. Woah, asking Robin to take credit out of the website he designed for free. That's really ungrateful. And i love Robin more
  16. Robin doesn't do 3D as far as I know. Know your terms before starting a debate. But I guess he does like shaders.
  17. It's looking awesome ;)
  18. Its awesome cause Robin made it.
  19. @Robin: > Seb and Rory are the only ones who can have my babehs. Awww
  20. Resident Evil. Cause when it dies, it stands right back up.
  21. Good job with the first sword, the blade is nicely done. It could still be improved though, it looks blunt.
  22. @Doomteam1: > @Robin: > > > @renzo: > > > > > And now he's showing off that your not the only one that can do it. ;D > > > > By the looks of his corrupted textures, I am. ;D > > be nice robin, at least I am attempting to try and make a game. Robin's still the only one who can do it well though. Nice menu, Doomteam.
  23. Avatar: The Last Airbender I just insulted my own genitals.
