Hey everyone. It's been a very long time since I been on these forums. A lot has changed for the better good. I don't see many of the old peeps I used to talk to on MSN on here anymore. Draken, Marsh, Kreator, DrNova. Are any of you still around?

Yes indeed trees do cast shadows, but those shadows are just horrible. I remember the default tileset someone fixed the shadows, not exactly sure who did it, but try to search the resource forum. And example of transitions is in the picture above that I posted.

Here is a random picture I found on google. Take a look at the pathway on how the end of the grass is rounded. 

Starting to look better. Fix the pathway its too blocky and try to get some grass to pathway transitions, and the tree shadows are horrible. You are on the right track.

Not too bad. Too many logs, and the path way that meets the grass needs to be transitioned better. Aswell as the square box on the right. Too many grass pedals in the box on the right. The tree shadows are ugly. Add some more ground effects example: flowers, tree leafs, dirt spots, etc..

Mail me some of that weather please. I'm sitting here in 30 degrees in NJ. Atleast tomorrow will be nice enough for me to test drive my new car.

Although this was all a joke, Robin is right about what he said(Not the insults on Americans although half of it is true) > Two years now I've been working on this software and how many people have I seen actually make anything good from it? Keep up the good work robin! I'll be following your projects. p.s No I'm not sucking-up. I like Robins attitude. He is brutally honest, which I like.

Learning by yourself with out any help is very difficult but in the end is very rewarding. Whats is the capabilities of VB6\. Could it comparable with C++ or Java? Is it used in the real world for IT, CS, or even game design(Obviously you can make games with it, but can it be used for large commercial companies?) ? Basically what I'm trying to ask, is VB6 a good starting area before I take a step into Java or C++? I appreciate that you answered, considering you are busy with EO and building you own game.

Hey Robin, I'm interested in programming, but I have no clue where to start. How did you start out? Which language did you first start to learn, and built off of that to become more advanced in what you do now. Do you know java? And do you think java is a good language for game engines or do you prefer something else? I'm basically starting out with programming and I wanted to ask someone that is good in this field. This is for educational purposes.
