The index number is basically how the engine identifies who the script runs for. GetPlayerTarget, as Eldaren pointed out, stands in for the normal index. You'd just plug that number in to get the target's index, and therefore have the script affect them.

1\. Assuming the player's name is "TheLifeGiver", that script would be searching for "TheLifeGiver_skills.ini", not "TheLifeGiver.ini". And, no, you don't have to dim. At all. It's good practice for if you want to start using VB, but it has no real use in Eclipse. 2\. No, there's not. That'd take some source editing. 3\. Index refers to a specific player logged into the game. The first player logged on gets index 1, the second gets 2, etc. Index calls back to them, so if they trigger a script, thescript uses index to make that event happen relative to them. 4\. You can't use a "delay", per se, but you can use a timer, then run a second script. It can get a bit lengthy and segmented, especially if there's multiple delays, but it's the only way right now. 5\. There's a Rand() function. I believe it's Rand(100, 1) to make a number between 1 and 100, but it might be Rand(1, 100). Try either of those.

I play in a couple campaigns. I like tabletop more than the CRPGs. Play a monk in a school group, another monk in a family group, a cleric with my brother and some friends, a fighter in a group of classmates, and yet another monk in an internet group (which was difficult, BTW).

I think he means giving the script numbers a label. Like having instead of "6" in the scripted box, have it say like "Quest NPC 1". And no, you can't do that.

I looked into it. It is clearly not LilCheatah's work. There are posts of a user named LilCheatah asking about this very tutorial on Moe's forum. I've emailed the admin of Moe's Realm asking for permission to post this tutorial with proper credit, and await an answer. Until then, the tutorial is going down.

In the script database, I have a buff script that you could use. Just make a scripted spell with it and use a negative number for the amount to buff.
