Are we allowed to post links to torrents that contain copyrighted material such as games so long as the point that they must own that game else it is illegal for them to download the files? I was just wondering. I'm not sure if the Eclipse forum's have any sort of disclaimer or something concerning the content posted by users. Considering that many of the tiles and resources are copyrighted and Eclipse users use them saying that they are for "test" purposes, I was just wondering if torrents to such things would be acceptable as well. Technically it should be alright as long as there's something in the user registration terms and conditions or a disclaimer saying users take responsibility individually for content posted. And so long as it's emphasized that it is only legal to download a torrent that contains files that you already own, I see no problem. I'm asking mainly because I just got a copy of the original Fallout and it wouldn't install on Windows XP properly. Even when you enabled Windows 95 compatibility you still needed to apply numerous updates and patches as well as unofficial mods to fix the bugs. So I created an installation program that came with everything pre-fixed and ready to go for those who have XP or Vista and own the game but can't figure out how to install it properly. I was just wondering if Eclipse is a suitable place to spread this torrent around. Well, now I'm just rambling about what will potentially be a shot-down idea. So I'll stop now. If I were you I would shut off the computer and use a different one for the time being. I would then go and order a free Ubuntu CD or burn a copy (freeware) Then insert it into your virused computer and boot it from the CD, (DO NOT INSTALL) then in ubuntu backup all of your files to a different storage device, afterwords reinstall Windows. it works. just might take a while. but every HDD needs a good repartitioning and formatting every once in a while :)

try downloading Spybot S&D from their website and installing it. if you can get it to run do a virus scan. if you arent able to use that then try an in-browser virus scanner that uses java. if it comes to you having to reinstall windows i'd recommend that you boot ubuntu or something from a CD and use that to back up ur files b4 u wipe ur HDD clean. ~symph

make sure you aren't running any programs like limwire or frostwire or using any torrents. anything that requires constant bandwidth is bad when running a server. if its a faster computer that you're looking for… then i recommend building 1 that revolves around the i7\. just get the 2.66GHz and overclock it to 3.2-3.6. hope this helped. ~symph

some of the paperdoll items are not properly aligned i think. also, paperdoll is designed like that purposely. you select the weapon from up top that you want to be paperdolled and the game retrieves the sprites from below. honestly… i think its dumb. you should just be able to pick any item and it paperdolls the whole row. but wait... that would make sense. can't have any of that :p haha. ~symph

you could also script it so that the item gold coin is equal to 10 silver coins. maybe add some bronze or copper or w/e u want.

yeah… right now you could edit the source urself and do some scripting im sure but otherwise u'll either have to use graphics like that or wait for EE3. check Ambardia out. its like that.

EDIT: your welcome. its good to learn routers and modems, especially if your running a server. some allow you to prioritize certain programs.

the instructions are literally in the script. just do as they say. the second script there needs to be put in you main.txt which is in your server folder. be sure to place it in the proper Sub tho. id you want a greater understanding of scripting then i recomend that you check out the tutorials section. it will hopefully help you to understand better.

it depends on what router you are using. try the basics like admin for both or administrator. with and without caps. i believe that [portforward.com](http://www.portforward.com) has a list of routers and their usernames and passwords. try there.

you most likely need to port forward. if you want i can help you or i'm sure that there are some tutorials. also check marsh's post about port forwarding in the questions board. if you want my help, i use crossloop to connect to your computer and show u how and what to do. click the link in my sig for that. otherwise find a tut. or use my simplified and probably useless version here: enter your router's gateway/ip adress or watever into your browser login go to gaming/advanced settings go to port forwarding forward ports 4000/4001 for UDP and TCP for ur comp's DHCP ip address (since ur prolly using that… even if u dont know it) save settings. tada...magic. ~symph

eh. i forgot about the admin panel. oh well. like i said. this idea can bebuilt on. i suppose i just wanted the editors to be built into the GUI better. i think it'd look nice. and the admin panel doesn't list every command an admin can use does it?

yeah. i dont really like elements all that much myself. they can be confusing. like if you want to use light and dark… well then they'd be weak and strong against each other. and also i'm not sur if they're scripted into the main or hard coded but it'd be nice if there was an easy way to change how much damage increase/decrease is applied. preferably % wise.
