  1. 1) I'd like to create and use 96x64 sprites and 64 x 64 tiles, where do you set the size of them ? 2) How do you make 'real' 8-direction movement ? I create every sprite and tile on my own therefore it doesn't matter that the original Eclipse sprites and tiles don't work anymore. ;)
  2. @[BS: > westin444 link=topic=44295.msg449101#msg449101 date=1242361872] > Now you make me wonder why it got fixed the 'thousandth' time… I have a propensity to exaggerate. :P It was about 3-4 times I quess, I have absolutely no idea why it didn't work at the first times but I don't care, my PC has to be a little buggy, maybe the setup couldn't install all required files the first 2-3 times because of that. My PC also crashes a lot (it also did during the first two reinstallations but the setup went on as though nothing had happened therefore I didn't bother) and has lots of weird errors, I should buy a new one. This thread can be closed. ;)
  3. FINALLY ! :cheesy: My Visual Basic had a virus, little defect or something like that, well, after removing and reinstalling it for about a thousand times it worked ! :cheesy:  It works fine now, it seems to be fixed, well, I hope it's fixed … :azn: Thanks to everyone, hope to be back soon.
  4. Are there any ways to make compiling work with the Portable version too, I don't know, a patch, a trick, I have no idea … The full version is damn expensive and I'm not bent to spend about 200 bucks for a little chat-game for a few people but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't create a good one, I'd take it seriously ... but I'm not made of money ...
  5. @[BS: > westin444 link=topic=44295.msg447599#msg447599 date=1242184977] > well, sometimes you need another .dll to compile it. > Are you using a "portable" version? I truly use a "portable version", is that the reason ? Is it possible to make it work with a portable version too ? Sorry, everbody's a newbie at something. :icon_beer:
  6. @Admiral: > Okay, I just tried this, and it compiles fine for me: > http://www.mediafire.com/file/meztzztngmz/Eclipse-Evolution-2.7-Source.zip No, it doesn't work. :lipsrsealed: Well, maybe it has something to do with my crappy PC or maybe my Visual Basic version has bugs. I spent almost the entire day trying to make it work, I'm getting a little pissed off. Another error message and I'm throwing it out of the window. :azn: I'd show some screenshots if the screenshot button weren't defect (yeah, my PC is indeed, a piece of crap. ;))
  7. @Admiral: > Well, "Method or Data Member Not Found" means that it can't find one of the files in the Source folder (one of the frm files, etc). That doesn't make any sense, I didn't delete any files.
  8. @Admiral: > You opened the whole project (.vbp file), and not just one of the files in the Source folder, right? Sure.
  9. @Admiral: > For the record, you're using Visual Basic 6.0 to compile it, right? Visual Basic 6.0 Enterprise Edition
  10. Well, I downloaded the source code again and again and it's still impossible to compile. It says that there's something wrong with "modText" … :lipsrsealed: Are there any other versions of the EE 2.7 Source Code ? Maybe I've got a buggy one, I have absolutely no clue.
  11. "Compile Error: Method or Data Member Not Found" - What does that mean ? I tried to compile the unmodified source code too and it didn't work either.
  12. Sorry for asking such an extreme n00b question: I've edited the source code - How do I compile it now to make a new game version out of it ? :icon_crap:
  13. No, I won't create a Harvest Moon game but I really like that kind of style: ![](http://picnicb.ciao.com/de/20966787.jpg) Does someone know where I can find sprites and tiles like that ? I'll create most of the sheets by myself but a little base would be rather helpful. :azn: Erm … and they should be in present style ... :embarrassed:
  14. How do you create an ISO perspective like in Harvest Moon with Eclipse ? :icon_crap: ![](http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/9138/hmoon3640w39f8a70jn5.jpg) I don't need ISO Movement but the map should look 'diagonal' like that. :embarrassed:
  15. This might sound a little weird. :embarrassed: I had the idea to create some kind of puzzle game (hard to explain) instead of a typical MMORPG (I hate those N00b MMORPGs which all look the same without any variety, I'll create everything by myself.), therefore I won't need character stats, experience, spells or guilds and stuff like that. I'll only need the inventory (for puzzles which can only be finished with specific items), the 'Who's online ?' list (to solve puzzles together ;)), and the 'Equiped' menu … Is it possible to do that without considerable expenditure ?
