Just a question about the creation of the map. I do all my mapping in Photoshop before turning it into a tileset and adding it to my game(s). As long as it is a functioning map added to the game through the map editor, does it adhere to the rules and hence may I use this technique for the contest?

So does the paperdoll feature work in this new source? Its one of the biggest let downs of the standard crystalshire edition, in my opinion that is.

while using CS:DE I cannot learn more than 1 skill. I've tried creating a new skill, then making a new item, then when i try to learn the sill I get a message in the chatbox saying 'you already know this spell' even though i cleary dont. Ive looked around and havent found anyone else with this problem, so help would be appreciated

^^^I love you^^^ :embarrassed: Solved all problems. As stupid as it sounds, I installed them before and it didnt change anything, but this time I ran it in compatibility compatibility mode for XP SP3, and it worked. thanks so much :P

understood.I kno its not the ideal situation using a computer I dont even own, but its the best ive got. I can still fully use Eclipse Origins, somehow, so I can just enjoy playing around with that. thanks robin

yeah its more complicated than that, i have full administrative privileges of everything other than the anti-virus program

yeah thanks for the help. I cannot turn the virus protection software off as this is my dads work computer and only the admins at his work can control it. Not much I can do then, ill let you get back to your life.

then its definitely the run time files. I have been using the old Eclipse Evolution Library files which obviously wont work, but when I realised this and attempted to install the new ones the .exe dissapears when i run it. And yes I have followed the steps in your guide, including the running as admin. If this isnt something youv heard of before its probably my computer, in which case thanks for your help but dont worry about it, my computer has….issues.

yeah I did that. Then i unistalled everything and repeated. No change. I think it might be a problem with the library files, but when installing them i now have a new problem. the install_eo_runtimes.exe dissapears when i try to open it.

hey, iv been trying to work this out for awhile now, and could do with some help. I got Robins History Bundle Extracted It Got VB6 Installed it (using Robins guide) Went in to Crystalshire:DE Opened the client folder made client.exe (worked fine) Went into the server folder >> When oppening the server.vbp file in vb6, i get two errors 1) MSCOMCTL.OCX' could not be loaded–continue loading progect? I click yes 2) Errors during load. Refer to the frmserver.log for details simply then i cannot make the server.exe can anyone help?? thanks
