  1. It's not really a matter of 'they won't work with your game as a programmer if you hardly have any done' its more about what is it that YOU are doing to make the game possible. Most of the programmers here don't want to waste their time with a dead-end game that will never go anywhere, and they don't want to program for someone whom is the 'founder' fo the game who does nothing but dictate orders and set out game plans for production. If you can prove that you're pulling your own weight and your game is on the right track (it doesn't look like a piece of turd and your visions are clear) then someone may approach you if you're recruiting. Show us your progress, post detailed story, post finished maps, pixels, websites, forums, and show that you are serious.
  2. @Draconix: > Just saiyan, if you're 6, then I'm actually really impressed that you managed to find this forum, start making a game, and ask a question in a civilized manner with decent punctuation and grammar. > Good luck! My thoughts exactly, better punctuation then most folks on here who are in their teens or older, as much as I love harping on the younger crowd, I can't really do so on someone who claims to be 9 with such grammar. All the best~
  3. @Eckhart: > There's already been several working cures for cancer, mostly forms of viruses. However, they need to be tested for a long, long time before they can actually be used, so it's useless for now. I just had an image of I am Legend, I sure hope they do test it for a long, long time before allowing the wide spread population use it :P
  4. @dayrock: > What do you suggest me drawing? > I am really good at drawing at paper… just tryna do it on the computer What are you trying to do, a drawing/painting, or pixel art? Your art and topic title don't really go hand in hand. A lot of people might recommend Sai for drawing, or Photoshop if you can get it. Also a Tablet. If you're trying to do pixel art you can use paint or gimp, or whatever really, I don't know what's best, a matter of personal preference (I myself use Photoshop for everything). Like Petey said start off small if you're planning to do pixel art, especially if you plan to have it in a game. If you're just drawing /shrug it looks alright for a Paint job, your shading appears to be in the right spot, I just wish it didn't look so jagged. I'd recommend Photoshop, set the canvas to a large size, so you can really pay attention to the detailing and produce nice lineart. Or you can use illustrator and use the pen tool for really smooth lines, though some might say illustrator is a bit harder to learn and work with.
  5. @Yumi-chan: > .hack song? o.O what's that? This made me die a little inside.
  6. @DrNova: > Micheal Bay is doing the next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. Except he decided to change the story, and instead of mutants, he's going to make them aliens. ducking aliens? Way to ruin the Turtles fucktard. They arent aliens, they are mutants. Ooze in a sewer. Get your shit straight. Yes, this upsets me greatly. This upsets me greatly as well, as an avid fan (I even had all the action figures growing up, April too!) I don't agree with this direction. How can you even call it TMNT when they aren't going to be turtles? Sigh, I predict a really crappy movie year.
  7. I use Firefox, but that's mostly because I haven't had the chance to really try out Chrome. I have herd good things about Chrome, and may try it out. I have been using Firefox since the dawn of it's existence, and I can honestly say that it's very resource hungry. I often find with multiple tabs open (because who really doesn't have more then one tab open?) it takes up uber memory, I find it hard to have Photoshop open with Firefox at the same time, and Itunes, well, that's just another story. I usually end up closing firefox due to it's demand. Photoshop>Itunes>Firefox. I do like it's selection of mods and crap, but if Chrome can offer the same and load faster/take up less resources, I will likely switch. Looks like I will be testing this out tonight!
  8. @Pbcrazy: > I simply meant that the only thing he claims to be able to do (photoshop stuff), is the half of the web design job (the other being coding) that most people are already capable of doing themselves. I wouldn't say most people know how to to do the design portion of a website, which is blatantly obvious when looking at what pops up here on this very website. The way you make it sound is that design is super easy skillz that your grandma's dog can do whilst sleeping, which is simply not true. Some people take a lot of pride in the designs they make/create, and it does take a lot of skill, practice, and sometimes re-do's because Photoshop is a turd who likes to randomly freeze for shits and giggles. Anyway… back on topic... I have no idea what your site is about, what it says, etc. etc. There isn't anything wrong with using the skeletal structure of a theme such as WP or Joomla or whatever CMS you plan to use (same goes with forum software) and making it entirely your own, but you'd really need to completely modify it to even consider saying you designed it.

    About god..

I don't consider myself to be a religious person, in fact, I quite frankly detest the subject and avoid it like the plague. My boyfriends mom is all about that stuff, and she (unfortunately) visits often, where I must watch my mouth (saying oh my god is offensive!). It's not that which bothers me, but the fact that she decided it'd be a good idea to buy a religious book to give to her friends, including me, and I must act like I give a damn when I clearly have no belief. I am running out of reasons as to why I haven't read it yet (I actually have no idea where I even put the damn thing). It's a bother when the woman whom sits next to me tries to preach to me texts from the bible, and nothing can be said of it without sounding like a horrible person, I do have to see her everyday during work, afterall. It's an even bigger bother when I am late for work and clearly in a hurry, that I am stopped by two blokes in robes asking me the big question, if I beleive in God. Excuse me? I will kindly reply "I am undecided." and even that answer brings judgement upon you. I'd hate to see their faces when I really tell them what I beleive in. If you're a believer, fantastic more power to ya, just please don't push it onto those who are content with what they already believe in, if nothing at all.
  10. @Marsh: > I dont know why but this new video disturbs me… I don't think the kitteh is being prepped for supper…or anything....right...?
  11. I raise your puppy, for one cute kitteh! It's D'awwtastic. ![](http://i.imgur.com/Crpqa.gif)
  12. @Pbcrazy: > So you're sayin' you can only do half the job, and even then, **only the half of the job that most people can do to begin with?** Say what? I think you need to re-evaluate your answer here.
  13. @MrMiguu: > I like some of the member awards: 'Tell her once', 'Ex-Christ-killer', 'Ex-Liberal', 'Flat earth' 'True Christian Caucasian'. You forgot 'Ex-Masturbator' haha
  14. @Marsh: > Not sure if im getting trolled in that thread or this one. I feel the same way…haha And lawl @ the name... Old Iron Crotch...hahaha
  15. ![](http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XMgyeAXeGGw/T0T2oqRzxpI/AAAAAAAAK1w/JFznCxCSqcQ/s400/Crying-meme.png) Oh my lawd.
  16. @Kaero: > if anyone know's where I may be able to get my hands on a version of a book which will guide me through to getting familiar with one I would also appreciate it. Last time I checked Amazon.com had a plethora of books you could order online. I'm not sure where you live, but I know Chapters or Barns & Noble book stores usually carry books for teaching this sort of thing. I recall buying Flash for Dummies and I think even a java one from there, along with some Photoshop books. Having the books are great to refer to, however you may find more examples and tutorials online that cater more to what you need or want to learn. As for the Pixel Art, you can always simply google Pixel Art tutorials, and I am certain you'll find many good resources, Deviant Art has quite a few good tuts on there that I have looked at for either inspiration or guidance, and they have helped. Of course, I am sure our more advanced pixel artists/coders will be able to direct you to a more proper resource than I, but hopefully it helps regardless.
  17. @Gleeful34: > **The Story** > You are a normal person struggling to ascend the ladder of success in the world. You have the basic goals: fame, fortune, and money. You also have unique goals. But you also have the ultimate goal; The Quest of Glory. > > Sounds like everyone's goal in life in the real world. Since you're only bringing ideas to the table, you really should work on those first. You don't even really have a tangible story, no one is going to jump up to work with you when they don't see anything you've done thus far. > > Marsh is absolutely correct, you should show us something first (if you even have anything, if not read above). Once people actually see what you can do, such as an amazing storyline, possible ideas, etc. then people might offer their services.
  18. @Chief: > How the eff did you get into the veteran group? These be strange times. I blame Sporky, the rest is history (for now). Anywho… I bet the next poster will be... Annahstas!
  19. Wing, you're banned form having L shake his skinny little finger at me! >O
  20. @Wing: > Finished drawing of the week 4. I had the pleasure to watch this being drawn from start to finish, and it's really quite the transformation. I really enjoy this picture, especially the hair and colors, very soft. I still think your line art is amazing as well. +10!

    Edits of Breeze.

@SuperSake: > Thanks, I've been trying to do something about the hips on the ~~chicks~~ females and finish the animations for them. Would have posted sooner but I got muted. ;v > > Like I said, there's a large chance these wont be used for anything. I might end up posting the finished sprites/animations. > > Made a paper-doll example, and a Pikachu. > [![](http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/files/imagehost/pics/120a300e56f62c8a5ef82bd187e4b7b1.png)](http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/files/imagehost/#120a300e56f62c8a5ef82bd187e4b7b1.png) Nice lol only complaint would be that Pikachu looks like he's got no eyeballs, which makes him look a tad creepy. Otherwise, very cute.
  22. @Ryochi: > I'll use yours as a logo for my game and ill use wing's as a logo for the website (Now i just need some sonic sprites -_-. I'll just post a topic and go to bed). So yeah, ill put you and wing's names in the credits as a sign of my thankfulness. Yay I feel useful. Thanks Ryochi.
  23. @Ryochi: > You're a great artist, dont beat urself up. but if you want to redo it then that's your choice. But i won't force you. Nah I am content with the logo, I probably spent too much time on it, so use if you like. > I think im gonna use 1 for my website and one for my game dont u think? I think the above threw me off, then again its 2:15am and I am rather tired. Which one do you plan to use for your website and which one for your game? Just curious :P
  24. @Ryochi: > I think im gonna use 1 for my website and one for my game dont u think? Can do what you like with it, can make a poll between them and see what the people of this forum think, can wipe your bum with them (mine anyway) or you can discard mine completely. I made it for my portfolio, and because I was bored.
  25. Hahaha he's pretty cute. Not half bad (better than I could do really).
