zomb88 replied to zomb88's topic in Talent Center
Updated. At the moment currently only looking for pixel artists. Any talented pixel artists feel free to contact me. -
Ah yea true well if hes after tips on that then its discustingly basic xD. If your want to produce quality more professional looking sites you obviously need to integrate graphics created in (eg photoshop) for the visual side. As for web **development** points i mentioned above and dr mrsean

The aim is to have complete custom graphics set this is more of a style guide. If that changes any decisions.
-
Indenting in any programming language is important. Makes it alot easier to read and debug. (ps i think hes not after design tips more structure etc)
-
Well anything is possible. I havent had time to work on pixel art so atm im just doing edits. But yes it can and will be done in future.
-
separate your styles into a css file. as it will help later depending on your structure. I would usually use nav or span tags for navigation menus. Also its good to get into a habbit of using a wrapper/container div's Also get out the habbit of using tags

> i like the first one … > > but the second i one looks great to! gah that doesnt help!!!! Still stuck between the 2\. Both have positives and negatives. Need some more feedback

It is a scifi game as stated in post 1. I think the 8bit graphics are simple and easy to make and would be faster and i do like the classic style but to keep it modern #1?
-
As stated in a early post, maybe not as big as #2, maybe between size of 1 and 2 (so it will be a little bigger then #1). I guess its a toss up between a classic or more realistic feel. The good thing about #2 is that graphics would be easier and faster to produce (custom graphics that is)
-
Fixed the link to the 1st one. Seems like people like the 2nd style alot

Rift is a mmorpg that didnt really get much marketing
-
Yea thats why im tossing up. The player sprites are going to be big (maybe not as big as #2, maybe between size of 1 and 2) #2 is done in pixel blocks of 4 and im tossing up whether to use that style so we can start producing some custom sprites.

Me and my team are working on a scifi game, you may of seen the unnamed game thread floating around. As i have completed a lot of the base engine features i have put a hold on its development to work out graphics, story and some more. Im tossing up between a style of graphics out of the ones below. Custom graphics are important to the project and teams concept. Player characters will be a form of robot. 1. ![](http://i42.tinypic.com/2ykcsd3.png) 2. ![](http://i44.tinypic.com/66yv5d.png)

I have just added 1 extra value to be saved in client maps. I have done all the above its just the way the client handles new map npcs. There is a new type rec to hold pet data but that is included in mapnpc data.
