  1. Thanks for the feedback Murdoc, I can't see using another tile set other then yours nothing has beat it in my eyes and I think thats the only reason the GUI might look decent lol. You are right about the black/grey colors of the buttons they totally do not match with the vibrant colors of the tile set I will go ahead and leave them colored without hovering or clicking. For the mana/xp bar after doing solid colors and adding that highlight to the top it looks amazing and everything meshes together way more then it did before. If anyone else has opinions or ideas please feel free to share!
  2. This is by far my favorite custom version here. It's about time people start working CS:DE. Keep up the good work Nyan and I can't wait to see what comes next!
  3. @adiif1 Thanks for the 5/5 ![:)](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons//smile.png) I will release this gui in the resources section once I finish it. The mana bar.. I was thinking of using manapotions just like the hearts but It looked like to much so if anyone has a good idea on how to incorperate a mana potion or something else while keeping it looking good please let me know.
  4. Alright people I've been playing around with the CS:DE GUI I wanted to make something more retro style to match the environment in the game. It looks corny when you have a modernized gui mixed in with a retro style game. So please give any feedback you guys may have. I would love to hear if you guys think it can be improved or what parts bother you the most thanks all! **Screenshot:** ![](http://i46.tinypic.com/2mopeed.png) Here are some examples of the buttons mouseover/click. **Mouseover/Hover:** ![](http://i45.tinypic.com/161mj4.png) **Click:** ![](http://i47.tinypic.com/16kqgsi.png)
  5. Thanks for the advice Stein, also Sherwin you got the right idea but I'm afraid thats all you have though.
  6. First off I did alot of searching I could not find anything relevant to my question, so I will start out with a small introduction… I remember when Diablo I was released it was an awesome ARPG. The items had random stat properties it made the game replayable, farmable and different every time. It's an amazing feature and is still used greatly today. I was wondering if anyone has done anything like this for EO? Is there any open source or private source projects that has successuflly implemented randomized stats on items? If not will somebody be willing to do this for the community? OR can it be done if I were to pay an experienced developer here? Thanks for taking the time and please feel free to leave comments reguarding the randomized stat item feature I think it would be an awesome idea to implement.
  7. I wonder if it's connected to the internetz, could you imagine the feeling of breaking into that thing.
  8. I support what you are doing newbie123, people around here are just mad because they think they can program just because they can copy and past code, and when someone releases something without the requirement to copy and paste it takes the people off there high horse. I remember typing in a 150 page book just to get a smiley face apear on the screen wish I had copy paste back then I would have been the most 31337 programmer! Keep up the work your doing here, lots of people do not know anything about programming and they should not learn VB6 to get started or even attempt to deal with this useless language if they already know a language. Lets utilize this engine as how is should have been for its over a decade long life it was created for people who don't or can't program so they can make a fun little game project with no experience. The "copy paster programmers" will always be mad tho let em be mad.
  9. > So, nice projectile system indeed, but perhaps make it shoot in straight lines by select or vice versa? It's great but I'd like to control how my machine gun fire instead of being able to button mash and hit anything for certain. I love the auto hit design, trying to line up invisable boxs just does not feel right at all, if you do ever change this deathbeam please leave a tutorial on the homing/auto hit design thanks. However I see your point if you are shooting guns obviously bullets will not curve and that will look awkward.
  10. **Major Bug:** Npc's float twards you it does not show fluent movement when they chase you. Is anyone else getting this problem?
  11. I can host your game server and a voice server if you guys need for free. However you will have no way of Managing the files or a server restart unless you talk to me and tell me to do it. I have no clue how to setup a free client management system for you guys to be able to do this and I do not give access to my servers but I can guarante you will get great service and it will be up all the time. I can add an auto restart incase the server crashes at any point.
  12. Awesome tutorial you got here, I'm sure it will help lots of people out. Just finished it up on my server and it runs flawlessly thanks!
  13. This is awesome thanks so much highonpaint, this has helped me out so much, I never knew it kept running each line after until it hits an exit event. I have completed everything I was trying to do except the giving of unlimited axes but this can be easily fixed by taking the item before giving it. I've also learned two main functions in the event system running multiple lines and conditional branches thanks again!
  14. > ok, I'm still learning it but I believe you need a conditional branch to check weather you have 5 logs > > edit: Or at least thats how I would do it Thanks highonpaint, I figured I did but I have no clue how to link a branch with something else I will try and find a guide or anything I can on the conditional branch part of the event system.
