@Dzoni94 I liked your version alot. I also liked Craselin's version too for more of a anime/cartoon type game. I re-uploaded them for you in .bmp format. You're welcome to replace them with your current post, or leave it as is.    

There's been quite a few games that had no classes. (In and out of Eclipse.) The way it should be done, is pure stats, and weapons being just a bonus. Don't base your characters off just the weapons / equipment alone. Either way you think about it though, it'll still have classes. Your character puts his stats to INT. and uses spells, he's basically a mage without the class title "mage". Just depends on how you handle it.

Could you add more detail to this? For instance, what images? Just the tilesets? Or ALL of the images from RPG Maker XP? Maybe throw up some screenshots of the trees?


I honestly don't like it. The middle part where the bolt is whole, is good. But it looks too unrealistic coming down.

Ironically, Craselin has a bloody signature. XD As for the tutorial, very nice. Should help quite a few people.

Back on topic, yes, I think a game could go "far". Graphics are just the icing to the cake. It's the blend of all the features that make the game enjoyable. Compelling story, unique add-ins, etc. Your goal is to make your game stand out and be unique, which is possible with RPGXP tilesets if done correctly. Although, alot more people prefer custom over someone else's work.

What's so bad about shutting down your server for 5 seconds to edit the.INI?

Problem is with Wine, it runs Direct X freaking horribly most of the time. Engines like Game Maker 8 and Eclipse Origins, have a very low rate of actually working. Though it depends on your system as well.

Looks pretty cool. I'm actually amazed people didn't re-create the original instead of making some fancy looking one with paperdolling and stuff. So basically you'd just play through the game with your buddies without leveling/paperdolling/and all that crap? (Multiplayer version of the original ftw?) Also, I think it would be a great add to have the other equips in. Like Bow and Arrow and Boomerang and such. Just have a feeling it won't feel the same without'em. D: And are you having the default fighting sprites? Or are you gonna have Link slashing his sword?
