  1. Ok I have already made an EXE for both the client and the server. I ran both and the client would not connect to the server.
  2. Server binary? Is that the server that comes in the source code? Sorry Ive never really worked with making an online game.
  3. Neutral Good Human Druid/Sorcerer (2nd/1st Level) Ability Scores: Strength- 9 Dexterity- 13 Constitution- 11 Intelligence- 11 Wisdom- 14 Charisma- 12 Alignment: Neutral Good- A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. However, neutral good can be a dangerous alignment because it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable. Race: Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like. Primary Class: Druids- Druids gain power not by ruling nature but by being at one with it. They hate the unnatural, including aberrations or undead, and destroy them where possible. Druids receive divine spells from nature, not the gods, and can gain an array of powers as they gain experience, including the ability to take the shapes of animals. The weapons and armor of a druid are restricted by their traditional oaths, not simply training. A druid's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that they can cast. Secondary Class: Sorcerers- Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Sorcerers know fewer spells than wizards do and acquire them more slowly, but they can cast individual spells more often and have no need to prepare their incantations ahead of time. Also unlike wizards, sorcerers cannot specialize in a school of magic. Since sorcerers gain their powers without undergoing the years of rigorous study that wizards go through, they have more time to learn fighting skills and are proficient with simple weapons. Charisma is very important for sorcerers; the higher their value in this ability, the higher the spell level they can cast. That was quite a long test.
  4. I am editing the Client that comes with the scource code file. When I make it an exe how can I connect that to the server?
  5. Thank you, I was referring to the stable version. I downloaded the eclipse evolution 2.7 instead.
  6. I have Eclipse Evolution 2.8 and I can't find the source code for it anywhere on the site. where can I find it?
  7. Let me rephrase that question so its not so "fake and gay" (just like you should rephrase how you critque a question). Is there a limit on how big the item sheet can be before the program cuts out some of the images on the sheet?
  8. Why not try and make a push function instead? have it for like if he doesnt move in a few seconds the player image moves back x amount of twips in the direction your moving.
  9. @Robin: > Origins offers some of the most advanced systems around the Mirage scene. > > You can only get it here. So does that mean Origins is out for use? and what is Mirage?

  12. Hey I'm new to using Eclipse. What program do I need for sadscript? Is it VB? Sorry if I sounds like a noob Mellico
  13. So you have to edit the current items set in GFX folder? Will the program still take the picture if you increase the size of the item set picture? Sorry if this is worded wrong. Hope you get the drift of what I mean though. Mellico

@Bit: > @Anna: > > > Set the map Alignment to None instead of No Death Penalty and see if that helps. I think No Death Penalty is basically the same as Safe Zone for an odd reason. > > He's wanting Start-up Items. Not start up items I want to class to start with the spell without having to make the items.Such as mage starts with fire, warrior starts with rage. ETC without using items at start up. So right when you make your character you and go out and fire ball something. so to speak.

@oscarprime: > I think players can attack other players on the "arena" tiles right? I'm not sure though, and you can items (e.g. swords, arrows, armor) for certain classes, I think. So if you make a mage class, you could make the equips for the specific class, right? I'm not sure though. Yes you can make the equips for the class. But I want the class to have a set of starting spells. So how can I assign a spell for right when they start playing without picking the spell book up?
