  1. @DrNova: > I'm judging from experiance and practicality. Maybe it is true, but no one really drinks that much water, and the rare few that MIGHT surely dont drink that much that often. > > Realistically its alot of water and I dont think anyone drinks that much from the tap Its not really the tap only, they have fluoride in Foods coke and many drinks, also most bottled watered company have Fluoride in their water. So your ingesting more than just the amount that you get from drinking from the tap.
  2. @ÅÐмiядζ: > Yeah, well, I'm moderately passionate about this issue, I just hope people take some time to realize that there really is a danger to this element. Personally, I can't stand the ignorance of people denying it when the facts are right in-front of their faces. The people that say it is healthy are the one's that say Mercury is good for your Brain! Literally.
  3. @DrNova: > I drink lots of tapwater, and never had any ill side effects. In fact, most people drink tap water and are fine. I'm sure this story is blown up and distorted. Flouride tap water is fine. Once again, it depends where you live to the amount of Fluoride you are exposed to. You may not realize it has effected you but it has in some way or form.

OH, and the New England Journal of Medicine, who [criticized public water fluoridation](http://www.fluoridation.com/poison.htm).. You're calling them conspiracy loonies as well, correct? > > @Sputnak: > > > Wtf… flouride isn't poison there's a town somewhere with a waterfall that they drink from. It won't make you go :lipsrsealed: > > I'd love to hear about this town; any link? I'm curious to see what their average lifespan is, and what their current psyche is like. > As far as strong teeth, it's interesting; according to [some studies](http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/healthy-living/is-fluoride-safe-780948.html), tooth decay is usually increased in areas which are fluoridated, as opposed to places where the fluoride as ceased, the tooth decay has also ceased. > > @pryex: > > > Yes it's in the water, but do you know how much you'd have to consume at once in order for anything horrible to happen? > > > > A lot, flouride, like most poisons, is filtered out, they put it in for the teeth, the rest is filtered and peed out, nothing bad happens. > > Can I have a link to this as well? > Because [according to this article](http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/814774-overview), the toxic dose of fluoride is 5-10 mg. > I just did a quick check in my state (you can check [here](http://thyroid.about.com/library/articles/blfluoridefinder.htm), in the US) is 1 mg per litre. > So wait, if I were to drink 5 litres of tap water (a little over a gallon of water), that would mean I've exposed myself to a toxic dose. > > For everyone that says fluoride is good for you, I challenge you to swallow your mouthwash next time you get some. > Or mix some mouthwash in with your daily cup of water, and drink it up; please ignore the warnings that say, "Do not swallow", after all, your body filters it out. > > …right? > > Ohhh wait... No... you don't pee it out, actually it gets into your blood stream, combines with aluminum and create > Aluminum Fluoride, which then can collect in your brain causing Alzheimer’s, dementia, and God knows what else. > > Comon pryex, I thought you were a man of science; someone who claimed to be open minded, and follows the evidence, yet in situations like this, you bluntly deny the evidence and play the same "no you!" card religious people play; that is, simply just babbling on about how stupid the opposing argument is, keeping a closed mind (and blocking out) any evidence that says otherwise. > > @'Aydan': > > > give me proof people have died from drinking tap water. > > > > Also flouride is good for teeth thats why it's in the water, at least that's what I have always figured. First off, do you even know the levels of Fluoride in major city's in the US? They are planning on putting more Fluoride in the water. Do you happen to think why most European country's don't have Fluoride in their water? Dude, do some research before you post. If you want to prove that it doesn't effect you like this? Give me proof not just you saying its ''Bullshit''. To prove a point provide information on your point in order for it to be accepted. Not stuff like its not dangerous cause I said so. :)
  8. @pryex: > Wow, Admiral and Tom, resident conspiracy loonies. > > it's all bullshit ok! First off Fluoride being put in the water and its effects are not a Conspiracy. It's proven fact that it is being put in the water and the effects of Fluoride are real. They even admit its in the water.
  9. @Sputnak: > Wtf… flouride isn't poison there's a town **somewhere** with a waterfall that they drink from. The water has loads of flouride in it. They have brown spots on their teeth because of it, and their teeth are uber strength. Those are the only side-affects of flouride. It won't make you go :lipsrsealed: Tons of Fluoride? God, it must be a town of air heads XD

  11. @Petey: > I don't really know much about fluoride in the water - it isn't allowed here, I don't think. Either way, we don't have any. Yeah, Fluoride should be considered a poison.

  13. @ÅÐмIядζ: > I actually write a paper on the adverse effects of fluoride for college; I'll see if I can find it tomorrow, if I remember. > The stuff is pretty bad for you; in my paper, I cite stuff from the FDA (or some similar organization) showing the disastrous short-term effects of the stuff, with long-term studies unavailable. > > I have a high concentration of fluoride in my water (it's not well water either, it's city water) along with some other nasty stuff; I have one of those nice big reverse-osmosis filters to clean it out for me => > > @Tom, on the subject of being back: Sorta, I have time to visit Eclipse and stuff, not enough time for HnH  > > EDIT: OH, I also recall fluoride was also used by the nazis in concentration camps, to make the people docile, and more submissive; it's been shown that people drinking water with introduced fluoride for long periods of time do make ya more submissive to authority. Yeah man its crazy, I getting a filter soon. I didn't know about the milk thing either. Basically how that passed that thing was there was to Canadian scientist doing a study on that and they said it produced many harmful effects, then the maker of it said id we give you two million USD's do no further investigation and just put it in the market. Thanks for that site now I can do my research on other stuff aswell. Edit- Also don't worry about HnH get on when you got time. :azn:

  15. @Zetta: > @Tompwnageâ„¢: > > > Also, Europe doesn't have Fluoride in their water because study's they conduction (Obviously) harm the brain and cause many other harmful side effects. > > http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a0/Fluoridated-water-extent-world.svg > Europe has fluoride in their water according to this map. Unless you live in Russia, where Fluoride is found within vodka. also: lrn2chem. The fluoride in the water fortifies the calcium compound in your teeth. Really, you're not ingesting much at all. Also, its a gas. **You don't digest gases.** Water fluoridation controversy refers to moral, ethical, and safety concerns regarding the fluoridation of public water supplies. The controversy **occurs** mainly in **English-speaking countries, as Continental Europe** does not practice water fluoridation, although some continental countries fluoridate salt. During the 1950s and 1960s, some opponents of water fluoridation suggested that fluoridation was a **communist** plot to undermine public health. Since 1985, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) headquarters' union has expressed concerns about fluoride. In 2005, eleven EPA employee unions, representing over 7000 environmental and public health professionals of the Civil Service, called for a halt on drinking water fluoridation programs across the USA and asked EPA management to recognize fluoride as posing a serious risk of causing **cancer** in people. Among the union's concerns are what they contend is a cover-up of evidence from Harvard School of Dental Medicine linking fluoridation with an elevated risk of osteosarcoma in boys, a rare but **fatal bone cancer**. In addition, over 1,730 health industry professionals, including one Nobel prize winner in medicine (Arvid Carlsson), doctors, dentists, scientists and researchers from a variety of disciplines are calling for an end to water fluoridation in an online petition to Congress. The petition signers express concern for vulnerable groups like **"small children**, **above average water drinkers**, **diabetics**, **and people with poor kidney function**," who they believe may already be **overdosing** on fluoride. Another concern that the petition signers share is, "The admission by federal agencies, in response to questions from a Congressional subcommittee in 1999-2000, that the industrial grade waste products used to fluoridate over 90% of America's drinking water supplies (fluorosilicate compounds) have never been subjected to toxicological testing nor received FDA approval for human ingestion." 18. @Shadowwulfâ„¢: > what do I think of this? > I think it is as fake as your emerald slipper in your sig. > > JK felt like saying that. Very intresting… XD @Shadowwulfâ„¢: > Some people are morons and flush drugs of all sorts and cleaners of all kinds down the drain. > What those people dont realize is that the water get put through treatment centers designed to clean the water from expected things such as dirt, soil, minerals, and other natural elements, NOT synthetic materials or bio-hazardous chemicals. Those stay in the water and can cause adverse effects to the drinkers. > > This is why I oppose my towns efforts to haev town water when we have an awesome well. Well it's true people do that, but the USA government allows a certain amount of chemicals to be dumped in the water. It's pretty discussing if you ask me. Also, Europe doesn't have Fluoride in their water because study's they conduction (Obviously) harm the brain and cause many other harmful side effects. Why do they have this in the water? Idk, but one thing I do know is that this is not a conspiracy at all that they ''Proudly'' Admit that they are doing it and that it has no negative effect at all. Which is total BS to begin with.
  19. Well guys today I just turned 18 today. XD Fun Fun
  20. First off this is not a consparacy the US puts fluoride the water. I just found it out. the same amount of fluoride in 8 ounces of water is found it a pea size of tooth paste… And it says if it is swallowed call the poison administration something. What the hell is it doing in our water? There was also traces of birth control in new york's water. Its pretty crazy but its true. ''They even say they are doing it.'' as crazy as it may sound its actually true (Reason being I am getting the water filtration). @ÅÐмIядζ: > Tom, I have a great link for you; I think you'll be pretty interested: > http://www.whale.to/b/covert_q.html > > Go to "A-Z", and read the quotes, possibly the articles, for each subject down to "White Bread" (more, if you're still interested). You'll never look at the world the same again (especially if you live near a cell phone tower :O) I will defiantly check it out later. But I can barely be on today. Btw, your back Anthony? Edit- Bookmarked the site.
