  1. Awesome job, can't wait to see them in-game when it comes out. I'm looking forward to seeing more previews ;).
  2. Awesome work on the songs, I liked them! I'll be sure to tell any friends who may be interested. Strange thing about my computer though, my SoundMax was removed somehow, so all sounds or music on my computer are faster and are in a higher tone.. Anyhow, keep up the good work on 'em, I'll check out any new ones you add.
  3. Mass Effect 1 was an amazing game.. I was practically hooked on it as soon as I got it. A friend of mine let me borrow #2 for a while, I still havn't really played it, although I'll probably get to it some time soon. I've been playing Final Fantasy XIII for the past while so I havn't gotten much time to put into Mass Effect. I also use the infiltrator as my class, it's pretty awesome, although you can't zoom in with the other guns except for the sniper and the pistol.
  4. Quite the improvement since you posted your last set of maps. Anyhow, I like the new details you threw in, the entrance to the town looks a lot better now! I've got a few suggestions that should hopefully help with a few things: 1\. Fix those walls of dead trees, use pathways to interact with other maps for both of the left and right sides. Maybe use a few signs too. Use a short pathway in the front or make a trail that leads to the town. 2\. Water. It needs a bit of water, so throw in a few ponds around the area. It'll make everything look a lot more alive and nicer. 3\. The repetition of trees kind of off-throws parts of the map, maybe use another kind of tree if you can. Atleast see if it works or not. 4\. Elevation. I'd love to see some hills or holes in the ground, the more you add for the player to interact with, the better. Anyhow, that's all I've got for now. Someone should be able to do a better job than me. Good luck!
  5. Wow, I love those maps, especially the interior ones! Two things I'd suggest for the outdoor map is just a bit more elevation and to add some flowers or scenery at the outer part of the city walls. Anyways, keep up the good work! Edit: I also like the name choice for the outdoor map, although it sounds like a name for a city covered in ice or snow.. Just my thoughts on it.
  6. They have the right to do whatever they want with it if it's trademarked. It'd be like someone making a fan-game of your original game. If you payed to have it trademarked and someone uses your tiles, names and locations without your permission - you'd have the right to do that. I agree with Zetta.
  7. Looks quite nice, although the repetition of the same vegetation growth makes it look a bit weird in my opinion. I'd say just replace a few of the stumps with leaves on them with the clean cut ones. Same thing goes with the pillars and rocks. Anyway, 9/10! Looks great.

As I close the program before I open the server, it opens up just fine. Just turn off your firewall, close the program, or if possible - set it to allow the server to go up, that way you won't have to deal with that. If that's not the case, I hope someone else can help clear up this problem for you.

  11. That'd be the best thing to do, unless you need to put weather in the game.. Otherwise, that's probably the best way to do it. Couldn't you also just change the tile to the day one, instead?

    Class Help

    Make sure you put them into the right folder with the correct format. It should be in the "Classes" folder of the "Server" main folder. If you've got both of those done, make sure all the classes within the text document look like this. [CLASS] Name=[InsertNameHere] MaleSprite=0 FemaleSprite=0 Desc= STR=0 DEF=0 SPEED=0 MAGI=0 MAP=1 X=0 Y=0 Locked=0 That would be in the file "Class0", then it would work it's way up to higher numbers, if needed. Hope this helped! If not, hopefully someone else can do a better job than me.
  13. I love the spawn gate, it'd be neat to use it in an animation.. Other are alright, as said by a lot of people, the colour choices are a bit strange, I'd stick to more realistic colours instead. Keep practising, it'll get better!
  14. I threw together a list of 25 character names, mix 'em up. They're not all that amazing, I did throw them in a big group in like 5 minuites. I specialize more in location names, not characters.. Anyways, hope these help. If you want more, I can always add a few ;)
  15. Thanks, I appreciate the responses. I've been making additions to the maps above and newer ones to show different locations like Volcanoes, Wintry locations, and other spots, rather than just forests. I'll be putting them up shortly.
  16. Hey everyone, I'm currently interested in taking a mapping and or a game development position in a 2D video game that has either just started or is already in it's later stages. I'd much prefer working in a medieval/fantasy based game, since I am most used to working with that game genre and I have great ideas for hidden and secret areas. As for my game development skills, I have a great understanding of different types of weapons and uses and can incorporate nearly anything on an itemsheet into a game, (given that the game has a lot to it at that point). I can also help with quest ideas, game progression, map ideas, and much more! I've been around the Eclipse community for some time now, I just havn't said too much. I've mainly been trying to improve my mapping and game development skills. Here's a bit of my mapping work, a bit better than the old ones I threw together real quick..   17. Thanks, i'm glad to know I am getting better at it, but im sure there's always something new to learn. Especially with 3.0 comming out, I gotta learn more techniques for that. I suppose I should put off getting a job until I learn a bit more mapping skills. All in time though.
  18. Alright, the camp has been updated once more, hopefully this time it's been improved greatly. It took me a while to figure out how to make it look more spread out and random, but I hope I got it alright..

  21. Alright, thanks for the tip :) I've started to doing that actually, and with my new tilesets, the grass looks a bit less.. Bland. Everything is piecing out just fine now.
  22. Alright, thanks for the help. Things seem to be running more smooth now. I've added two different types of tile sets right now, hopefully I will get more soon. When I am done making the new, improved maps, I will take the screenshots and replace them ;) Thanks for all of your help Rose and Damian.
  23. Alright, thanks. Ill try that then, maybe I won't have to keep restarting :/ Im currently working on fixing those maps, as suggested by Rose, I should try to balance the effects and blocks, etc. By the way, would you happen to know how to add different types of tilesets, avatars and such to the game files?
  24. I use WinRAR, it's wierd, it saves sometimes, and sometimes it won't. I don't know if it's because of any file changing or editing. It's saving now, but I don't know if it will later..
