Time problem

I have a problem with my computer, i recently moved and my computer was inactive for a long time and now every time i turn it on it displays January 1st of 2001 with a time of 0:00\. I  change it every time but it goes back, what is the problem?

You need to get a new computer battery. On your motherboard they're will a battery. Looks like a watch battery but bigger i forget what theyre called. Take it out and replace it.

because well um im 12 and dont know how to do that

its not hard. Goto a store if you cant do it. Make sure your computers off though. You just pop it out and put another one in. After you take your computer case off.

Would be kinda hard to do before you take your case of right?

Also, when you set the time for compy make sure you set it via the interwebs, that way it always keeps itself up to date.
