Jarvis
I believe it is more based on your computer system's available memory, processor, and stability. Some computers that run an Eclipse server can set everything to 999 without it ever crashing, and others can't. It pretty much depends on how you've tweaked your computer, and the specifications most likely have some kind of effect as well.
Eviltyphoon
No. It's not based on your system memory. You just have to check the source to see as what type these variables are defined. But I'm pretty sure you can go over 1000 with it.
Jarvis
It sure is based on memory. Used player slots do require a little bit of memory. Watch your server's memory usage increase with the more players you have.
Rithy58
It is not based on your system. The Limit, I mean. You can put as many as you want. As long as you know what you put won't destroy your computer :PI wouldn't go beyond 1000 for any of those, If I were you.Sincerely,Rithy
Doomsalad
You actually probably wouldn't even need that many slots of most things anyways. BTW, my cpu is from 2005 and can support up to 2000 people (without crashing)So your computer isn't a huge determining factor

Rithy58
Wow. I have a dedicated computer for my Game Server, Web Server, Vent, other server and some private stuff. Basically I don't use the computer. It was for server. My CPU is from 2007 and every days there like 200-500 people connect to it. I limited it there. Because more than 500 people, really lag my internet speed.I can't imagine 2000 people connecting to it lol. I can't probably even go to google.com.Sincerely,RithyPS : Someone posted 2 post but….who care :P
