LIlCheatah
Nice, for your **First** map,, but what's that for water?
LÃÂGÃÂNàPosted March 31, 2009 Author Share Posted March 31, 2009 It's the water that came with the Swamp tileset.
cheatking
Hint'1 Don't make a path if its allready obvious which way you should go.
anasky
Less details on water,More detail on grass,Less path, just a little paddle left of it,The little trees standing out of it, shouldn't those be 2 tiles high?
Baron
My advice here is that in nature there aren't naturally occurring straight lines very often.Minimise the straight edges and the map will look much better and the grid look of the map will be removed. F0x
Agreed, water doesnt need that much detail, and dont clutter so much.Good for your first map.
Derek
Very nice for your first map.Try to give a bit more ground detail, more curved edges, and make it less bland.
Guest
Great start. try to stay away from so many straight lines with your banks.
Bobbus
A pretty decent start to your mapping career :D.But try to avoid being so 'squarey' (having lots and lots of straight lines). And you can use extra space on the mask or mask 2 layer to create more detail, including on the road that is connecting the two larger chunks of land. It feels just a little bland.
