NetherArc
Hey, It's NetherArc. I decided I would make a tutorial on a effective way to get eclipse working 100% on Vista. I used this to get it on my 32 bit vista and it worked well.1\. Download the Libraries2\. Go to Control Panel>User Accounts and Family Safety>User Accounts then click "Turn User Account Control On/Off"Your computer will then prompt you to restart.3\. Now, run the libraries setup 1 and 2, but not 3.4\. Now, you want to go to the folder called Data in the Libraries and copy it. Now, paste it on your desktop. Now go to the original Data folder in Libraries, then download [http://www.worldwarproductions.com/Eclipse%20Library/dx7vb.dll](http://www.worldwarproductions.com/Eclipse%20Library/dx7vb.dll) and [http://www.worldwarproductions.com/Eclipse%20Library/COMSocketServer.dll](http://www.worldwarproductions.com/Eclipse%20Library/COMSocketServer.dll) to the Data folder.5\. Now, go to C:/windows/System32 and put all the files in the Data folder here.6\. Make sure you have DirectX 7 or higher. If not, go to google.com and search DirectX and download/install the newest version you can find. Now, it will work for you system.Make sure this is done:*Copy of Data file is put on the Desktop*Server folder is put on the Desktop*Client folder is put on the DesktopNow, turn on your server, make sure your client IP is set to 127.0.0.1 and the port is set to 4000\. Make a new account and your ready. Also, check these tutorials to get your server onlinehttp://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=29837.0Credits to l0lz!http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=41667.0Credits to NetherArc (Me) :DHope this helped. NetherArc
I just thought Eclipse might want another view of how to get the engine working with Vista. All ways have a small chance of not working for some reason.

Admiral Refuge
@NetherArc:> This will fix virtually all Vista problems.> > Nothing to say :PNot sure where you're getting at… Your guide won't help anyone if they don't have the VB6 runtimes which don't come on VistaEDIT: And when you said "All ways have a small chance of not working for some reason", that isn't entirely true because so far about 7/10 users who use the Vista Fix, have their engine working... Either way, I figured if you were making a vista tutorial, you should put every way of getting eclipse to work on vista down, not just two methods (that way, instead of doing steps in about 5 diff tutorials, they could look to yours and just use that).
