Should I continue development?

Hey guys, Jade here. Back from a long sabbattical that I am kicking myself for taking. I didn't realize 3.0 wouldnt be out for this long, and it still isn't, so this leads to…

Me asking a serious opinion from everybody, but I really value the developers input:
Should I continue working on my game that is currently being compiled using 2.7?

Consider these facts:
Release of 3.0 right around the corner
Early stages of development (Rudimentary mapping)
Haven't worked on it on 9 months
Waiting for a working 2.7-3.0 converter once 3.0 comes out.

So guys, should darkRedemption live again, or should it wait for 3.0?

I'm not exactly sure of the current features of the maps, I know they can be fully scrolling, and they can have like, over 50 diff layers (including multiple attributes per tile).

Also, Direct3d light or something like that too, I forget…

Either way, it's always good to practice mapping atleast, regardless.

id recomend that you just do other things preparing for it. such as compile sprites and tiles and spells.  possible make some scripts or write some quests that you can use.  might even wanna make a world map in some photo editing program. like gimp or photoshop and divide it into tiles, each representing one of your game maps.

just some ideas.
