Particle
So its nearly time for my sister to be heading off to university so our hunt for a laptop for her has intensified. She mainly uses the computer for writing up reports and talking to friends online, she doesn't game and she rarely installs any programs. This is where you come in Eclipse! :PI was wondering if you could pick out any laptops (Preferably Toshiba, HP, or Dell) that would fit her nicely and are in the $500 - $800 range. Also apparently another requirement she wants put in there is that she wants it to be colored (Pink, Purple, Green) one of those colors.I was thinking about a Dell Studio LaptopSYSTEM COLOUR Horizonte in PurplePROCESSOR Intel® Pentium™ Dual Core T4200 (2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB/1MB cache)OPERATING SYSTEM Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium Edition, 64-bit SP1OFFICE SOFTWARE Microsoft™ Office® Home & Student 2007 ENGHARDWARE SERVICES 1 Year Limited Warranty w/1 Year Return To Depot ServiceHD DISPLAY 15.6†High Definition (720p) LED Display with TrueLife™ and CameraMEMORY 4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 at 800MHzHARD DRIVE Size: 250GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)GRAPHICS CARD Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHDOPTICAL DRIVE 8X Slot Load Super Multi (DL DVD+/-R Drive + RAM support)BATTERY OPTIONS 56 Whr Lithium Ion Battery (6 cell)WIRELESS CARD Dell Wireless 1397 802.11g Half Mini-CardSOUND OPTIONS High Definition Audio 2.0Sound Good? eiliosdraye
I would go with a Starling Netbook, it's cheap, lightweight, and good for writing reports/chatting(has those programs built in).
