Hard to do in the current light method.

OPnly thing I can think of, take a grey color tile, and remove every other pixel to the transparent color, and fringe-2 it over the map, looks allright that way

I'm not sure, but I think you can also use colours for the light mask. Just got to figure out which colour fits best.

Make a 32x32 tile in paint or something similar. Zoom close and turn on the grid (in paint this is easy to do) Just recolor every other pixel the same black as the background of your tilesheets, then use it as a fringe layer
