Luneth
I have a MacBook Pro (2007 Model, runnign 10.4.11) that was running 100% okay, until yesterday morning when I turned it off as I ran out the door and arrived home to a MacBook that will not turn on. All it does is turn on the little light "Sleep Light" I think, on the thing you press to release the latch. If you hold it up to your ear, the optical drive makes a dull whirring noise. There IS a DVD in there, so it could be an issue with that, I have tried the cardboard in the drive trick, but that doesn't mean I didn't do it wrong. Anyway, I have tried all of the "basic thing", everything that they are able to do at the Apple store, reset the PRAM, I check all of the cables on the inside (Which is why my laptop isn't currently being fix - appearently I voided the warrenty and they want $1200 to fix)Anyway, I would REALLY appreciate if someone was able to help me outI don't know if anyone here is a Mac expert, but I thought this might be a good place to start looking :)-Thank you in advance! Luneth
Turns out that I need a new logicboard, which would run me $700\. So I'm just going to tear it apart and use the parts for… something :)Any advice on how to rescue a DVD from my busted computer?
