Howdy Posted April 4, 2010 Author Share Posted April 4, 2010 Well, I've searched a lot and looked at all the getting your game online tutorials, but for some reason, my friend can't connect to my game, I'm on a router and have port forwarded port 4000, the server is running and i sent him my client, but when he runs it it says the server is offline, the IP was correct, and I used an IP from no-ip.org and it still didn't work, anyone with more experience know what could be wrong?Thanks in advance. Robin Posted April 4, 2010 Share Posted April 4, 2010 Make sure it's your external IP, make sure you're port forwarding to the right machine, make sure you're not behind a firewall which is blocking connections.Simply getting an IP from no-ip.org is pointless. You need to run the program to make sure it's updated to your IP. As dynamic IPs don't just randomly change it should work fine until you reset your router anyway.
