shadowwulf Posted April 14, 2010 Share Posted April 14, 2010 EE 2.7 is still my recommendation for newbs. I found the bugs easy to fix and not as big of an issue. I found at least one new issue with ES every day I coded in it. EO has not had one real issue. There is a lack of built in features such as paperdoll and lighting, but after some honest consideration, I realized it was worth waiting to add them later.EO is honestly the best engine for 2d I have seen ever. Features should come in like packs that can be installed optionally. not everyone wants/needs quests, or paperdoll for that matter. If anyone thinks they should be able to pick up an engine and just point and click a decent game, they are dreaming. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
BlazingShadow Posted July 10, 2010 Share Posted July 10, 2010 Truthfully, Im not that keen on robin, he can be a bit insulting sometimes, but EO is by far the best Eclipse. I started with EE, then later moved to ES finding it much better, but within 1 or 2 weeks of moving to ES, i had once again changed to EO, the best of them ALL!!! ;D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
