Admiral Refuge
@۞βΣØ٧ÄÂÃŽÂGÛž:> How do i make the maps bigger? You mean the actual map size itself, the display window, what? You can actually edit the map size of all your maps by changing the MapX and MayY (I think that's what they're called) in the Data.ini; but you'll have to delete all of your previous maps. Killer123
I think this is itScrolling=1ScrollX=30ScrollY=30To make the Game map size bigger.
Admiral Refuge
Yeah, that's it.I think the largest scrolling size you can have is either 30 or 50; usually too large of maps will end up killing the server (because it can't actually HANDLE maps that large); hence the North, South, East, and West, feature in the Map Editor. Killer123
Ok, i set them to 40so server wont crash, do i have to change Scrolling=1?
Kite
No, that makes them scroll-able, setting it to 0 will be non-scroll maps :P
Admiral Refuge
@۞βΣØ٧ÄÂÃŽÂGÛž:> Ok, i set them to 40so server wont crash, do i have to change Scrolling=1?Scrolling=1 enables scrolling, so keep it as it is.How many introductory tutorials have you checked on?There are some very nice resources in the Tutorials Board, and even a 20-page book on the engine. Admiral Refuge
@۞βΣØ٧ÄÂÃŽÂGÛž:> Ok, and what Langauge do you use to code??? HTML, CSS, ETC.I'm assuming by "Code" you mean edit the source code to the Eclipse Engine?Eclipse is written in Visual Basic 6.0; you'll need to find/buy Visual Basic 6 in order to edit the source code to Eclipse. But you won't need to code anything to change the map size, hence setting values in the Data.ini.If you mean Scirpting, that's VBScript and there's an entire board on Scripting with many tutorials (actually, there's an entire board on Source Programming, with tutorials as well). In your other topic, I'm linking you to some Source Code Tutorials on how to fix the various bugs in Eclipse Evolution 2.7; you can see what I mean from them.Warning - while you were typing 2 new replies have been posted.
