Thorn
I actually liked Ninjitsu less when I started taking it. Perhaps it was just the kind we were learning, but there was no point where I could ever see me using any of the stuff.I'm not saying it wasn't effective. I'm saying it was TOO effective. The lightest stuff was breaking limbs and other bones. A lot of it was how to kill people before they know you're there. If I learn a fighting style, I want it to be something I can use to defend myself. Killing people without being seen isn't a skill I see me getting a lot of mileage out of.
Akselj
Well, the historical ninjutsu is actually the martial art practiced by the Shinobi (commonly known as the Ninjas), who were assassins. Their goal was killing without being seen. So my guess is you didn't learn one of the modern variants of ninjutsu, where it probably is more useful for self-defence, but rather the historical ninjutsu practiced by the Shinobi. Thorn
I'm aware of it's background and yeah, that's basically what it was. Useful for killing, not useful for defending without taking lives.
