Apparently the CyberPolice do exist outside of that mustached man's rant. As of May 2010, the US has a division of the military known as "CyberCom" which consists of about 1000 individuals that specialize in network security. Their mission is to "direct the operations and defense of specified Department of Defense information networks and; prepare to, and when directed, conduct full spectrum military cyberspace operations in order to enable actions in all domains, ensure US/Allied freedom of action in cyberspace and deny the same to our adversaries."

And the US is not the only country with cyber soldiers. China, Russia, Israel and North Korea all have their own cyber units. Iran claims to have the second largest cyber army in the world.

Cybercom is not supposed to be fully operational until October of this year, and it was stated that approximately 20,000 to 30,000 people are required to effectively defend the US from cyber warfare.

If any of you have been keeping up with the news, the site Wikileaks has obtained a few gigabytes of stolen documents from the Pentagon and are hosting on their site. The site administrators refused to hand the documents over to the Pentagon.

This could be bad, the government has taken a stance in the internet world and they are already dealing with a security conflict, months after the unit was activated. And several countries which we have had internet issues with in the past have their own cyber armies. I'm not saying anything will happen, its just that everyone seems to be building up their forces in this new front.
