Grizzy
Do Character sprites support GIF or just BMP? I want to make a glowing NPC so I needed to know. :P
Drakiac
I believe it only supports BMP but maybe you could do something to the source…
RyokuHasu
if adding Mp3's are possible, im sure adding other inage types is possible, BUTif you want to change image types easily use FREE and OPEN SOURCED GIMPhttp://www.gimp.org/The alternitive to ($500) Photoshop

If so that would def be the easiest solution. I already have both programs lol. :)
iSKweek
Just add the glow in the sprite sheet.
Grizzy
I don't want it to be only when it moves tho. I'd prefer it to be at a higher rate than that.
iSKweek
Change the sprite sheet so there is more frames and then change the moddirectdraw7 to play the sprite sheet or something like that. Or you could just create a new animation and loop it on the NPC.
Grizzy
Wouldn't it just be easier to edit the source and allow GIF to be used as well? I want something to glow radioactive like on some NPCs.
iSKweek
I guess, I wouldn't have a clue how to do that though so I can't help you with that.

MrKris
I thought the only type of image Eclipse supports is .BMP
Ruins of Hell
@Mr.:> I thought the only type of image Eclipse supports is .BMPNot if you change the graphics system, that's what Robin did with WN and it supports PNG.
MrKris
Oh ya I noticed that. So you can change the graphics system to use any kind of image file you want?
Ruins of Hell
@Mr.:> Oh ya I noticed that. So you can change the graphics system to use any kind of image file you want?…if the system you use supports that file type. You can't just "make" a graphics system. (Well you could, but you'd be met with little success.)
MrKris
I never said "make". I said change.
Grizzy
Well what exactly is D8X? If its a complicated answer just sum it up for me please.. What exactly would I need to do then to get a glowing GFX sprite? Unless coding the graphics system is something a novice coder could do if he read the right books and tutorials, then I will just figure it out on my own. Ruins of Hell
DX8: DirectX 8.Currently, Origins uses DX7\. Upgrading to DX8 is a more recent version and allows more file types. You won't be able to do it.
