As the day / night system featured on this link: [http://www.eclipseorigins.com/community/index.php?/topic/132485-day-and-night-system-for-dx8/](http://www.eclipseorigins.com/community/index.php?/topic/132485-day-and-night-system-for-dx8/) does not work on the engine I use, I thought combined with overlays offering me the map editor Eclipse The Final Frontier. But as my knowledge of vb6 are very scarce, I ask for help. I've seen something similar in the following topic:[http://www.eclipseorigins.com/community/index.php?/topic/131521-rgb-afternoon-or-autumn/](http://www.eclipseorigins.com/community/index.php?/topic/131521-rgb-afternoon-or-autumn/) but unlike the editor that is in the picture of that item, my editor does not have the options "Day / Night" and "Panorama". I think it would only add 2 new schedules and link the 4 times to different combinations of RGB in overlays. But as I said earlier, I have no idea how to do xD. Can you help?

As far as I know, that tutorial does work for DX8; but either way, for what you want, you'll want to make a few edits to the engine. In client side you'll want to add a clock, I know the DX7 version of day/night system has it added, and then you'll just want to make the day/night drop box thing to choose if it's effected by the day night, maybe make an editor to choose what day, night, dusk, and dawn will be in the overlay color. I think that's all you have to do… Ask some actual programmers, they'll know better than I do :) but it's a start

Oh, I forgot one really important thing, in the code, you'll have to program in when the game shows the map overlay, or, what time things happen. I also found it helpful on the server to add if then statements with radio buttons to add if time ticks normally or if time is only day, night, ect.

Well, anyway, I need someone to edit my code day / night dx8 to do what I want, or you can make a code change clock at certain times to do what I want. If anyone can take the job, help me a lot.

Not to be a jerk, but most people around here are either going to say do it yourself and learn VB6 (which is pointless if you're not going to use it for anything but a few add-ons) or they will want payment. If I were you, I'd try to look around and see what you can find out about the clock/timer that is counted in the server loop, and see if there's anything on map overlays, maybe a transparent .png would work, I don't know, but look around, hopefully I've helped a bit
