Yeah, I love those tiles. It's a great site design, but I think that you should make it wider instead of vertical. People don't feel like scrolling for more than 5 seconds to see what they want.

You can improve this many ways. First off, try to make the banner wider. It doesn't stand out a lot, so try to put a border around it. Secondly, you could just increase the width of the content in general. The display you are using right now looks like a PDF, which is bad. Thirdly, try to section off your blog posts with dark horizontal borders. The dotted lines you are using right now don't separate the posts enough and don't make the page seem wider. The more organization you have, the easier on the eyes it will be.

Great job though. Your project is definitely on my "like" list.

Thanks, it's actually a tumblr, and I don't dabble enough in html at the moment to create/edit a design so I'm afraid it's going to stick until I can make my own or move to creating my own site.

But yeah follow me on twitter and tumblr etc and I'll keep eclipse posted when I can. If I may be so bold I could suggest you bookmark my blog so you can check up from time to time and see my progress!
