First Real Map

This is the first official map I have done for my W.I.P Game. I have been messing around with some tiles and this is what I came up with. 

It's actually just a small piece in a chain of pathways to do with the storyline of my game. These pathways will slowly get larger and begin to have npcs that guide you through the game Step by Step. As well as some NPCs to kill that look as if they are wild and not made for you to train on. Giving more of a reality to the game. Thanks. All friendly production comments are welcome as always.

Don't work on a grid. Paint with the tiles. Lakes, and paths aren't square.

Path is going to get wider?

I'm sorry maybe you could put that a little clearer. What do you mean by don't work on a grid? Also. Are you asking me a question "Path is going to get wider?" or are saying it as if it makes no sense. Thanks

You said the path is getting larger.. does that imply your are going to extend the width of the path?

Don't place tile by tile.. take it and draw a natural path and than work on making the tiles blend.
