Project EO recruiting!

Project EO is recruiting! For most of you who don't know what Project EO is, it is a newly started developing project where a group of people of different skill levels in different departments come together to work on a completely blank copy of EO. This project has only just started and I have been working alone in the most parts. But have already came up with the basic layouts.

The whole story and background of the project is still in development so we all can throw something in what we want into this project. What I have came up so far for the main story is that there are three races that have been in war from the beginning of time. Fighting for recourse and land the battle has reached it's climax. Your just a worthless peasant to begin with but rises through the ranks to help out your fellow comrades in the war.

The story line so far can easily be followed with loads of quests. We are also using our own graphics apart from the tile sets and the main character but everything else will be our very own which means a lot of work. I have also added in the following features:

In the project I will be helping out with the Graphics, programming, development and some of the mapping. We are looking for the following people to help out for Project EO:

Programmers
Developers
Pixel artiest
Artiest

We are mainly looking for people who are new to eclipse but it would greatly help if one or two experience users apply. We are also mainly looking for mappers but will take on people from all departments.

The game it's self has only got three classes. So far being: Warrior, Mage and summoner. The game is  also still due for a name but will not develop one until we get most of the mechanics programmed in.
So for the prjects progress, it is still in early stage which is what the project is mainly about. We don't have a first map yet but still, the project was made for people to make a game from a blank copy of EO.

Project EO is also a great path to take if you are making a project your self. Whilst we help you develop new skills that could most possibly help your own project. Our forums also provides your to ask for help or even advertise and recruit (for) your project.

Wich means you do nothing at all. Perhaps go to school/work by morning in regular days then back to virtual life, am I right?

I honestly do a lot of work on this project, you can see how much work I done in the screen shots in less than a week. And yes I do go to work and college but who on this website doesn't? We all earn a living but that doesn't mean I haven't got plenty of time to work on the project. In fact i got more than plenty of time, today I have a half day at college meaning i have over 11 hours to work on this project today. Also I have been pixeling since 6 Oclcok in the morning today so yeah….

I really am comminted to making the project last and I will make sure this is one of the few projects that actually makes it to beta. All the projects I worked for has never got to that stage and the owner decided to get lazy half way through the project. Meaning all mine and the teams work and time was for nothing. I am releasing downloads to the client and server for the team so what ever happens the project will hopefully carry on.

*Edit*: And if any of you can't see what the screenshots are showing. The first shot is basically showing the chat drawn to screen, the enlarged screen and the custom graphics being the items and the bat npc.
In the second screen shot, it is showing two new buttons in the option tab. One being a quest log that shows what quest you currently accepted and the other being a chat log. The chat log may seem pointless for some but it is for the message to loop. the on screen chat messages don't loop, even though i know how to make them loop i made sure they didn't else the on screen chat would get clunked together and would not be as clear of a chat. Also the chat log allows you to scroll through the chat history. So mainly the chat log is for people who have no interest in playing the game it's self at times but to have a conversation with the rest of the community. Now the third screenshot shows the custom npc editor. The editor allows npc's to have spells and gives you the option the make them a boss which has different abilities to any other npc. And at the very bottom you can see that you can make the npc give out a quest.

The project isn't really far enough to really consider what you are offering but I will most likely consider your work in the near future some time. thanks :)

This thread is from our forums. It is just me and another member of Project EO discussing and developing ideas for the game. The thread explains why we added the stuff we added.

At this moment I need at least two more people. preferably a mapper and a programmer. Doesn't really matter.
If you are interested then visit the news section in the forums to catch up on what is going on then apply in the application section of the forums.

If you do have any question about the project then don't be shy to pm me or reply to this thread and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Also I promise this is the last time I am going to bump this thread. Just needed an extra hand or two before the upcoming dates.

Also I would like to thank anybody who does apply because you have no idea how much it helps me. I try not to pile up the jobs I give you and help out with what ever is needed to be done. Also if there are some areas you want to learn on EO then me and the community will help you out as much as possible to improve your skills in that department. We also supply help with your own personal projects even though our help is limited.
