Zexion
Okay first of all I know nothing of hosting servers. I do understand how ip's and ports work, but I can't host anything because I can't port forward.I was wondering. If i can't portforward, and I bought a dedicated server, would it still work? Also if it would could someone point me to a good cheap sever site? Also can someone explain to me how to set it up once I buy the server? I have no-ip already. Displaced
If you buy a dedicated server, you don't need "no-ip" because a dedicated server HAS a fix ip.You just log in with remotedesktop and it looks exactly like a windows desktop.. Which shouldn't be a surprise.Once you started your server there, you can connect and play. You don't need anything to know.BUTYou have to secure your server. which is a pain in the arse on windows.
