kahnival
I decided today to have a punt at a little bit of pixel art. Not quite up to the same level of skill as my usual paintings lol.Can I get some constructive pointers? Also as a side note…The blue bit around the edge is supposed to be a sort of magical aura. IceCream Tuesday
Advise. When starting art. Don't restrict your medium. Practice on larger space first. Then work on getting your message through in smaller and smaller area.
cloudsky
When saving pixel art, use .png or .bmp file formats, that way you can keep the quality of your work.Use .bmp if you will continue to edit it later, but if you are finish with your work save it in .png format.Try to make a new one and save it in .png, and I will give criticism on it.(I won't make criticism in your current work because the quality was altered by it being .jpg):D
Urumil
How racist that is, Kitsune.I don't like the aura, and the mace isn't defined enough, looks fuzzy or something. Also, the bowl at the end looks unregular.
cloudsky
@Gamzee:> How race traitor that is, Kitsune.> > I don't like the aura, and the mace isn't defined enough, **looks fuzzy** or something. Also, the bowl at the end looks unregular. That's my point, when you save pixel art in .jpg (.jpeg) it will turn fuzzy and your work will be altered and look messy. I din't criticize his work because it became different to what it supposed to look like.[This is what I am referring to](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pixel_art#Saving_and_compression)
