  1. Okay, but since you do not want to listen to someone who is telling you that you added 2 (skill attributes?) that do absolutely nothing, and you don't want to do anything about it then too bad for you. Why are you being so stubborn? Do you want Origins to be a fail or do you want people to use it? I thought developers cared about what the people want so they can be more popular.
  2. Also, a type of items "Pants" could be added to the item types. Sorry for double post :sad:
  3. I don't know if this is a bug or a feature that should be added but, INT doesn't really affect anything. If you increase it, it doesn't make you do more damage with spells. Same for Will. Str, Agi, End seem to work and do something, but INT and WILL seem to have no use. So INT is pointless. You should make it so that Base Damage of spell + INT = Damage of Spell. Or another formula similar to that. Instead of developers having to make a new move for level ups that do more damage for a magician class. The damage of a magicians spells will automatically increase with levels.
  4. Robin just wanted to tell you some bugs (because I don't know if you already know about them.) 1\. Spell Class Requirnments don't get saved. 2\. Spell animations don't work. (Only the Cast Animation works.) 3\. Not really a bug but, it doesn't display character level on character screen. (Basically no one knows what level they are -_-) Sorry if I shouldn't have posted here. There should be a bug list out there so people can know when to report a bug and when not to because the bug is already known.

Everyone is complaining and asking Robin favors. He's doing this all for free. He has a life you know. So if people like you stopped complaining and annoying him maybe he would finish faster. It's his choice whether he wants to even release a new version or not, so back off. And if your such a smart @ss then why don't you open the source and fix everything yourself.

  7. I started using EO and I found some problems (2). 1\. I can't make more than 2 classes or server doesn't start up. 2\. I made a map bigger than the default size and now directional blocking only working on the top left side of the map. Please help will be greatly appreciated - Ayevdayev
  8. I noticed this on the ES 1.3 Page "Server moved to winsock system, no more buggy packet system, thanx to Ballie for providing me with example server" Does that have anything to do with the lag?

  11. I just noticed a very big glitch in ES 1.3! Whenever I level up I get 1 point, right! So when I leveled up in my game I wasted the point and the amount of points I had increased by 1. So I waste 1 point I get 2 points. I waste another point I have 3 points. WTF! Help me! There is probably something wrong with the script that instead of decreasing the amount of points you have by 1, it increases the amount of points you have by 1.

  13. I tried using Origins, I hate it! It doesn't even have a news editor (probably does but I didnt see it :)) I don't like the system at all, not even close to as much features as ES, anyways I still need some help increasing max tiles, anyone know what I should do?

I am trying to save you the trouble of making a whole game and then only being able to have 4-7 people play it once it gets online due to a memory leak in ES. I mean if all you want it for is yourself and a couple of friends ES will work, but it really isn't easier to use take this question you are asking for example, it would take you a few seconds to drag and drop some images. Also EO seemed to be better supported at the moment. There is just 1 problem I'm having. I'm a total N00B at scripting (I'm learning VB6, I'm used to VB 2008). I use the cloudwolf quest maker, will those quests that I made work on Origins? I actually played a game that runs on ES to check it out and it, lags LIKE HELL with only 3 players logged on so. I give in. LOL!

ES is outdated in a sense that everything is tied together and adding items, sprites, tiles has to be done to the images that are already there. Not to mention ES has some memory leaks that will leave your game crashing all the time. Robin made the new editor for a reason, use it. I didn't post this so that people can advertise Origins, OK. If I wanted to use origins I would. I've heard millions of errors in Origins and I hate it's GUI (looks pretty crappy to me, even though I can edit it). I picked ES because it actually has much LESS errors and is much easier to use. Anyways, I already started making my game and I am not planning to redo it on to origins. The truth is ES is easier to use, and Origins crashes way more. I didn't post here so that people like you can advertise, I posted to get some help.
  16. I got VB 6 so I started to play around with the source of my game, I wanted to change the max tiles on the map editor from 10 to 30\. So I did everything correctly (AT LEAST I THOUGHT). Then I went on my client and opened up the map editor. I clicked on one of my new tileset #s (26). The correct tileset showed up. I got so happy (LOL). Then I clicked on a tile then clicked on the map to add it, NOTHING CHANGED, I looked through the code but I cannot find something to change the max tiles, what do I do?!?!?! Please help!   17. I need some help with spells in ES. 1\. How do I make a class get a spell automatically at a certain level? 2\. What does Vital Mod mean in the editor?
  18. 1\. I want to make a game. I have 20 tilesets but the map editor only shows 10, is it possible to increase the maximum # of tiles? 2\. When I add a tile with a black background it appears black in the actual game, how do I fix this? I tried making 1 tileset transparent but it didn't work (I got a white background 3\. How do I make an NPC stand in place without moving. I am using ES.
